When Does ‘The Bachelor’ Season 24 Start? Peter Weber’s 2020 Premiere Is Coming
Rest easy, Bachelor Nation. The summer is winding down as Bachelor in Paradise comes to an end. But there’s plenty to look forward to when the franchise returns with an all-new season of The Bachelor. The ABC reality show’s 24th season will hopefully bring on — as host Chris Harrison would put it — the most dramatic episodes yet. But when does The Bachelor start in 2020? If the network decides to stick with the same schedule, it looks like The Bachelor will come back shortly after the holiday season.

When is the release date of ‘The Bachelor’ 2020 premiere?

As of this write-up, ABC has yet to confirm the premiere date for The Bachelor Season 24. Nevertheless, the franchise typically runs on the same schedule from year to year. This means fans have a general idea of when the new season will begin.
If you run on Bachelor Nation time, you should know The Bachelor kicks off the year in early January — the first Monday of the year, to the exact. The Bachelorette then begins between mid to late May. Finally, the year ends with Bachelor in Paradise in early August. And like clockwork, the cycle starts again.
On occasion, the ABC reality franchise will experiment with spinoffs, such as Bachelor Pad in 2010 or The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018. However, at this time, no new spinoffs have been announced for the upcoming year. So it’s likely the franchise will continue per usual. And if it happens, then fans could see The Bachelor Season 24 premiere on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020. However, everyone will have to wait and see what ABC decides in the next few months.
When does ‘The Bachelor’ start filming for season 24?
The next bachelor hasn’t been officially announced on ABC, but franchise blogger Reality Steve already has the scoop on the upcoming season. And although fans may not see The Bachelor until the new year, it looks like the reality show will begin filming soon.
On Sept. 11, Reality Steve revealed filming begins on Sept. 20 with the women moving in on Sept. 21. The blogger also shared Sept. 25 would hold the season’s second rose ceremony. Meanwhile, producers shared public filming dates in an email to an “invited guest list.” So it looks like the Bachelor team will be taping in Los Angeles on Sept. 24th, 26th, 27th, and 28th.

Who is the 2020 bachelor?
So who are the women vying for on this season of The Bachelor? According to Reality Steve, the next lead will be Peter Weber, aka Pilot Pete on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. And although the news has yet to be confirmed by ABC, the next bachelor will be announced during the Bachelor in Paradise reunion on Sept. 17. So until then, everyone will have to wait until the finale episode for official confirmation.
Whether or not viewers are getting a full season of Peter the Pilot, there’s something about a fresh season of The Bachelor that rejuvenates Bachelor Nation for the rest of the year. And now, as Bachelor in Paradise wraps for 2019, all fans need to do is enjoy their holiday season and wait for a new start in 2020. Let’s just hope the franchise continues with their predictable schedule for season 24.
