When Hannah Brown Asked Peter Weber to ‘Catch a Flight’ With Her, He Says He Considered It

Peter Weber’s first two episodes of The Bachelor featured a conversation he had with former bachelorette Hannah Brown. The two had an emotional heart-to-heart about their feelings for one another and discussed what they should do about them.

Towards the end of their exchange, Brown suggested they “catch a flight.”

Peter Weber thought about quitting ‘The Bachelor’ to be with Hannah Brown

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last week, Weber revealed that, in that moment, he definitely thought about abandoning the show to leave with Brown.

“I definitely considered in that moment–that sounds absolutely crazy and insane but, again, I told everyone–and I don’t think they ever expected me to display it to that magnitude–but I told everyone from the very beginning I was gonna be raw, be myself, do what I had to do,” said Weber.

In the end, Weber decided to carry on being the bachelor. He and Brown shared an emotional hug and parted ways.

During the episode, Weber said he felt bad for giving Brown so much attention during the group date.

“This is confusing to me. I wanted to kiss her, yes. That’s what I was feeling. That’s what I wanted to do. I mean it wasn’t that long ago I know that we broke up so I guess this is OK to feel this way. I mean I probably didn’t handle this the right way today. I am trying to figure out what the hell my heart wants and I don’t know. I think I’m just like really scared that I’m not where I need to be right now for this. I don’t know if I need to feel that love with someone else to fully move on. I don’t know if I have to fully move on to feel that love with someone else,” he told the camera.

But during his ET interview, Weber says he doesn’t “feel that bad” about his conversation with Brown because it happened so early in the season.

“That’s why I don’t feel that bad about it. I didn’t have insane relationships at that point. Feelings hadn’t really formed. It was so early on. So I give myself kind of a hall pass in that regard of why I allowed myself to feel what I felt because I knew I had an amazing group but I was just getting to know them,” he said.

Peter Weber says there are ‘no distractions’ moving forward

Weber also admitted during the interview that he was still in love with Brown when he began filming his season. ET’s Lauren Zima asked Weber how he felt he could be the bachelor when he wasn’t over Brown.

“I was obviously hurt when that did happen but I did my best to move on and put that behind me. And when I was offered the opportunity to be the bachelor I was obviously so stoked for it and I took it because I truly felt like I was ready and I had moved on as much as I could and I wasn’t gonna let that be a distraction moving forward,” said Weber.

Based on the season previews it looks like there won’t be anymore Hannah Brown drama moving forward (unless Weber decides to give his final rose to her after all, like some fans are hoping). But there will be plenty of other drama to look forward to.

The Bachelor airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC.
