When is Carrie Underwood Expecting Her Second Baby?

Ever since Carrie Underwood announced her second pregnancy in early August, fans have been trying to guess her approximate due date — or, at least, due month. She paired the announcement with details about her next tour, which gave some followers a guideline in predicting the baby’s approximate arrival.

The country singer has been in the news a lot this year. After her accident last year, she kept fans in suspense about how the aftermath might drastically change her appearance. Her eventual “face reveal” didn’t make people very happy.

Thankfully, her fans seem to have forgotten the upset. Her Instagram post and tweet received hundreds of replies congratulating her on the announcement.

So, when can we expect to see the first photos of the newest member of her family? Here’s what we know so far.

Carrie Underwood tour 2019: Why is it so far away?

It’s unusual for an artist to launch an album and delay their associated promotional tour as long as Underwood is. But she has a small (yet significant) reason for putting off her performances a little longer than her fans might prefer.

On August 8, Underwood posted a short video on Twitter that explained the large gap between the September 14 release of her album Cry Pretty and the start of her 2019 tour of the same name.

“Mike and Isaiah and I are so over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” she said to close out the announcement. “We’re so excited and just so glad that you guys can share in this with us.”

Is Carrie Underwood’s recent illness related to her pregnancy?

Even though Underwood was scheduled to perform at England’s Long Road Festival in early September, she canceled the show, along with a concert performance during BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park. InStyle reported the cancellations were due to illness.

However, it wasn’t clear at the time whether or not these cancellations were related to Underwood’s pregnancy.

The Long Road Festival did release a statement on Twitter reading: “We’ve just heard that Carrie is unable to play this weekend due to illness, and our primary concern is her speedy recovery. We know you’ll have questions, and we promise to come back to you as soon as we can.”

When will baby No. 2 arrive?

As a collective, fans might be more excited about her pregnancy than she and her husband are. (Well … maybe not quite.) Many are hoping for an “all-American girl” this time around. But many of her followers are focused on figuring out when that baby’s finally going to get here!

This isn’t Underwood’s first venture into parenthood. Her son Isaiah Michael Fisher turned three this year, born in February 2015. But it won’t be too long before he meets his new brother or sister.

Some sources speculate that baby No. 2 will arrive sometime between February and March 2019, giving the singer a few months to rest, parent, and prepare for her May 2019 tour. Many couples wait until the three-month mark (past the first trimester) before “going public.” It’s possible she’s further along than that, but we’re not quite sure yet.
