When Will ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Tickets Go on Sale?

Avengers: Endgame – the final chapter in the superhero saga spanning over a decade – is bound to be Marvel’s biggest box office smash to date. As fans anxiously await April 26, 2019, those behind Avengers: Endgame have yet to open ticket sales.

While many assumed tickets would go on sale when the final trailer dropped on March 15, this was not the case. And the hype keeps growing and growing.

Tickets for Avengers: Age of Ultron were released two months prior to the premiere and tickets for Infinity War were released six weeks prior; however, as the end of March approaches, it looks like Endgame plans to wait until the bitter end (no pun intended). This does seem rather apropos given the film’s whole shtick, so should we be surprised?

When you think about it, those behind Avengers: Endgame know full-well that tickets will sell out for the opening weekend no matter what; thus, prolonging the inevitable works in their favor, as it builds excitement. So, just how long do you have to wait to buy tickets?

Tickets to ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will most likely go on sale March 25 or April 2

Based on recent reports, tickets are most likely to go on sale March 25 or April 2. According to Inverse, a Redditor, in late February, released an image of a blurry chart containing a list of upcoming films and their respective release dates. Many believed that the list was a schedule meant solely for cinema chains.

The chart indicated that Avengers: Endgame tickets would go on sale April 2. The Reddit user had since deleted his account, which only further supports the document’s legitimacy. While this is still just speculation, the chart did accurately predict Wonder Park’s release date.

More recently, according to BGR.com, an AMC worker on Reddit confirmed that tickets will go on sale March 25. He explained that his theatre frequently rents out one of the auditoriums for major movies; this way, the employees can enjoy films like Captain Marvel and Mission Impossible. And, a theatre has been rented out for March 25. So, either March 25 or April 2. Stay alert!

If Avengers: Endgame tickets become available April 2, fans will have less than four weeks to get their hands on a seat. This would be the shortest span between ticket availability for a movie and said movie’s release date in Marvel history. Got to go out with a bang, right? However, any later than April 2 would be a bit crazy.

How long will ‘Avengers: Endgame’ be in theaters?

Marvel movies tend to stay in theaters for approximately 22 weeks, according to Express.CO; however, Guardians of the Galaxy was in theaters for 25 weeks, according to Quarts.

Given that Guardians of the Galaxy managed to stay in theaters for 25 weeks, Marvel fans who don’t mind hearing a few spoilers or missing out on the opening night excitement (if this is you, can you even call yourself a fan?) should have more than enough time to see the film.

It’s likely Avengers: Endgame will break records for the number of weeks it stays on the silver screen…and the number of minutes.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ alleged runtime

If the Inquisitr’s source is correct regarding the runtime for Avengers: Endgame, fans better make sure they use the bathroom before walking into the theater!

Avengers: Endgame will reportedly be 3 hours and 2 minutes long, according to Anton Volkov of TrailerTrack, making Avengers: Endgame the longest Marvel movie to date. From when the tickets go on sale to how long the film is likely to run, Endgame is breaking records across the board. Now, we just wait to see how well Endgame does at the box office.

If you want to catch up on all your Marvel history before seeing Endgame, rumor has it that AMC may host a Marvel movie marathon prior to Avengers: Endgame.
