When Will Lindsay Lohan’s New Reality Show Premiere?
Lindsay Lohan is returning to spotlight! Though the notorious Hollywood starlet did not appear in the highly anticipated follow up to Life Size, Life Size 2: A Christmas Eve, it looks like The Parent Trap actress is working on something very special. Growing up, we couldn’t turn on our televisions or go to the movies without seeing Lohan’s face. She appeared in everything from Mean Girls to our favorite Disney Channel flick, Get A Clue. Unfortunately, the glaring spotlight, the expectations of fame, and some substance abuse issues got the best of Lohan, and she was blacklisted in Hollywood.
Now things are looking up. Since stepping back from the spotlight and retreating from the United States several years ago, the Freaky Friday actress has been relatively scandal-free, and she’s set to return to the small screen in a new MTV reality show, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club. So when can we expect the show to premiere?
Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club premieres Tuesday, Jan 8th
Lohan will return to our television screens on Jan. 8, 2019 on MTV in Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club. The reality series will follow Lohan who is now based in Mykonos, Greece. She’s opened a lush beach clubhouse — Lohan Beach House and the cameras will follow her as she manages her property and business. In an interview with Paper Magazine, she said about the series, “I really wanted to make it a family-style beach. A place where people can go with their kids and feel safe. They can have fun and there’s not cameras every second. It’s not just a party thing; you can have a nice lunch.”
This will be the Hollywood starlet’s first return to television since her disastrous 2014 OWN reality series, Lindsay. The show is being produced by Bunim/Murray who is the masterminds behind, The Real World and Keeping Up With the Kardashians so that certainly seems promising.
In a statement about Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club the show, MTV said, “Viewers will get to see a new side of Lohan as she calls the shots with her handpicked team of young and ambitious VIP hosts who will have to do whatever it takes to secure Lohan’s name as the definition of vacation luxury.”
About that Facebook Live scandal
Though the starlet is poised for her return, we don’t exactly expect it to be scandal free. If you recall, back in 2014, she continually halted filming Lindsay because she felt overwhelmed. Also, she recently found herself in hot water when she accused a refugee family of human trafficking and tried to touch their child. Lohan didn’t rehash the incident with Paper, but she did say, “I could do 99 things right and one thing wrong, but it’s that one thing that will be focused on. Behind the scenes, I do what I can to be the best version of me, which never gets mentioned. I am also human. I make mistakes. That’s all that seems to get reported.”
We’ll just have to see what Lohan is up to ourselves when Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club drops in 2019.
