With millions of viewers tuning in to watch these events unfold, many can’t wait to see what is bound to take place in Season 17.

However, with the show’s current contract coming to an end in 2020, we are wondering when the new season of KUWTK will premiere?

Kris Jenner is re-negotiating her family’s upcoming contract

For the past 12 years, Keeping Up With The Kardashians has graced our televisions and kept many of us very entertained with the family’s hilarious antics.

Now that the Kardashians are almost at the end of their current three-year contract, we are curious as to what is in store for the future of the show?

With Season 16 just coming to end this past weekend, many want to know when Season 17 will premiere so we can continue on with the aftermath of the Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods cheating scandal.

Since the Kardashian family has been making headlines a lot more than usual, there is a lot the show’s cameras are most likely capturing, but we might be waiting a while before we are able to see it.

So far, there has been no word of when the new season of KUWTK will premiere but we can easily guess the family wants to get back to filming episodes as soon as possible.

With the Kardashians, specifically Kris Jenner, in the middle of re-negotiating the family’s contract for upcoming seasons, new episodes of the show probably won’t air until later this year.

Back in April, a source revealed to Radar Online that Jenner was currently in “tight negotiations” with the network over upcoming seasons.

“Kris is trying to broker a deal that will keep their show on until the end of season 21,” the source claimed.

It was also revealed that the momager wants “complete wraparound control over the entire production.”

Neither Kris Jenner or E! has commented on the speculations.

The Kardashians have hefty terms that E! has to carefully consider

Back in 2017, the Kardashian family signed a three-year contract that was rumored to be between $100 and $150 million.

With Season 15 experiencing a heavy decline in views and Season 16 getting those numbers back up, producers are most likely questioning if future seasons of the show will be able to maintain steady views.

Since we are in the age of social media and streaming services, the amount of people actually watching television is steadily declining with each passing day.

Back in 2017, E! proudly announced the renewal of KUWTK and expressed how much they were looking forward to working with the famous family again.

“We have aired 13 wildly successful seasons of the franchise as well as 11 spinoffs, and Season 14 is off to a strong start,” E! said at the time. “We are incredibly proud of our partnership with the Kardashians and they remain an important part of the E! family. We look forward to continuing our collaboration for years to come.”

According to Variety, E! has yet to officially comment on whether they have additional seasons planned.

With Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Season 16 finale expected to pull in extremely high numbers, we can guess producers will be more than happy to renew the show for a few more seasons.

Also, with Kris Jenner being an excellent negotiator, there is a very high chance E! will not be pulling the plug on the show just yet.

All we have to do now is wait for the network to announce the premiere date for Season 17.
