Buzz, Woody, Jessie (Joan Cusack) and the gang have teamed up once again to take fans of the Disney/Pixar franchise on a brand-new adventure. With Andy officially all grown up, and his beloved toys in Bonnie’s possession, we’re going to get the opportunity to meet a bunch of new toys along the way.
When will Toy Story 4 premiere?
Toy Story 4 will be a 3D adventure, and it’s expected to slide into theaters on June 21, 2019. It will be the first Toy Story film in nearly a decade since Toy Story 3 premiered way back in 2010.
What is Toy Story 4 about?
When Toy Story 4 picks up, Andy, Woody, and Jessie are doing their thing and enjoying their idyllic existence as members of Bonnie’s toy collection. However, by the looks of the teaser trailer, things aren’t about to remain harmonious for much longer. In Disney’s press release, the movie’s official synopsis reads, “But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”
Who is the villain in Toy Story 4?
In Toy Story, Buzz had trouble accepting that he was a toy because he thought he was an actual space ranger. However, Forky’s story is a bit more complicated than that. He is actually a spork that Bonnie has turned into a toy, and he’s facing a real-life identity crisis. Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley explained, “The world of Toy Story is built upon the idea that everything in the world has a purpose. A toy’s purpose is to be there for its child. But what about toys that are made out of other objects? Forky is a toy that Bonnie made out of a disposable spork, so he’s facing a crisis. He wants to fulfill his purpose as a spork, but now has a new toy purpose thrust upon him.”
Voiced by Arrested Development and Veep actor Tony Hale –Forky is going to bring his own brand of terror into the beloved franchise and we are very much looking forward to it. Hale said of the role, “It’s a huge thrill to be part of the Toy Story family. But it’s going to take a while for it to really sink in.”
Will Toy Story 4 be the last Toy Story movie?
Grab your kleenex because Toy Story 4 will be the last in the Toy Story franchise. In this film, Buzz and Woody will say farewell for a last and final time, so we hope you’re emotionally prepared for that. We know what Woody has the final line in the series and from what Tom Hanks has said, it’s going to be a “moment in history.”
