Where are Justin and Hailey Bieber Going on Their Honeymoon?
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have kept their fans abuzz for months now as people have been speculating about all kinds of wedding details since their engagement. With a secret wedding, a second wedding, and some other drama thrown into the mix, it looks like things are finally beginning to settle. Now fans are wondering where the pair are heading for their honeymoon. Here’s what we know.
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin had a whirlwind courtship
Bieber met Baldwin in 2009 when Baldwin was only 12 years old. The pair had a “weird age gap”— as Baldwin put it — early on, so they didn’t begin dating until later.
They were spotted together beginning in 2014 and had an on-again, off-again relationship that intertwined with Bieber’s breakups and reunions with Selena Gomez. By 2015, the pair were getting matching tattoos and vacationing together with Bieber’s parents.
It wasn’t until 2016 that the pair officially confirmed their relationship to the public, and even then, it was a vague statement without commitment. They briefly went their separate ways later that same year. Bieber dated Sofia Richie in the meantime.
Throughout 2017 and 2018, the pair was romantically linked to other famous celebrities. Bieber returned to Gomez and Baldwin was seen out and about with Shawn Mendes.
Finally, in June of 2018, Bieber and Baldwin were back together, and things moved very quickly from that point forward.
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got engaged on vacation
Just a month later, in July of 2018, Bieber asked Baldwin to marry him while they were on vacation in the Bahamas — a popular celebrity engagement destination. Within a few days — and completely unexpectedly given their former tight-lipped approach to their relationship — the pair made their engagement public.
Within two weeks, the bridal party had been announced. By September, they were living together, and fans began to suspect that they were already married.
Justin Beiber and Hailey Baldwin held a more formal ceremony later
As it turns out, fans were right. The pair had secretly wed in a small courthouse ceremony in September of 2018.
They later followed it up with a more formal wedding ceremony in South Carolina in September of 2019. While there were a few mishaps — Bieber almost ruined Baldwin’s dress with a wildly mismanaged Sharpie — the ceremony was beautiful and had fans rallying around the couple despite their rocky start.
They don’t have formal honeymoon plans
While it’s hard to tell with this pair and their relationship secrecy, it appears that there are no formal honeymoon plans at this point. In an interview with Vogue, Baldwin opened up about her married life and her plans for the future.
She had nothing but kind words to say about her wedding day: “I honestly just felt so happy; I was so content. There’s nothing like marrying the love of your life. It’s an indescribable feeling.”
When it comes to the honeymoon, though, she said only that she’d like to have a beach in their travel plans. She went on to explain that the pair travel so much that they don’t really need an official honeymoon.
“I think we travel enough where it’s kind of a honeymoon all of the time,” she explains. “Just being with each other, just getting to spend time alone can feel like that. We love to do little trips, we love to go away for the night or the weekend. I love to travel.”
With a secret relationship, a secret marriage, and all kinds of dramatic speculation in between, it may be that this pair is finally ready to settle in and take some relaxing time to themselves. On the other hand, we might be in store for pictures from a secret honeymoon any day now.
