Where Are Jwoww’s Kids Now? Jenni Farley Is Seeking Primary Custody
Jenni Farley, known to most as JWoww from Jersey Shore fame, has taken steps to ensure her divorce is finalized quickly and painlessly. The reality star and mother of two filed for divorce from her husband of 3 years, Roger Mathews. According to court documents, Farley has asked for primary residential custody of both Meilani, 4 and Greyson, 2.
Primary residential custody refers to where the child will live. According to the documents, Farley wants to ensure the children’s primary residence remains with her. She has not asked for sole legal or physical custody the children. Farley has requested that Mathews be ordered to pay child support and maintain health insurance for the two children. Farley is also asking Mathews to foot the bill for any additional medical costs.
Farley and Mathews recently spoke out about the developmental delays and the journey to get a diagnosis for their youngest child. They have also documented trips to therapy and early intervention programs. These costs are likely what Farley is referring to in the divorce documentation
The call to the police that began the drama
While Farley filed for divorce in September, the couple had been sharing their residence in New Jersey until mid-December. According to reports, Mathews called the police to the home as a precaution during an argument with his wife. Mathews, in an Instagram video, stated that he called the police to ensure Farley did not attempt to file a false report after he left home to work on an outside project.
The couple, who had been arguing over Farley’s work schedule, allegedly slept in different bedrooms in the house. Mathews returned home and went to bed, only to be awoken later by police. He was removed from the home. No charges were filed, but Farley did receive a temporary emergency restraining order against Mathews. The order prohibits Mathews from entering the home or interact with Farley or his children.
Both Greyson and Meilani have remained in the house with caregivers. Farley is continuing to work during divorce proceedings, which require her to leave the home for extended periods of time. Mathews has always maintained a work schedule separate from Farley. He is not now, nor has he ever shown any interest in being a reality star.
Mathews speaks out and the Jersey Shore cast gets involved
In a series of pointed Instagram videos, Mathews has spoken out against Farley. Furious about the restraining order, Mathews serves up thinly veiled insults and suggests Farley is emotionally unstable and violent. Mathews has taken to labeling these videos his “truth diaries”. Farley has chosen not to comment directly on the divorce, although her team has released a statement regarding her desire to protect her children and deal with the end of the relationship gracefully.
Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi came to her co-star and friend’s defense, suggesting that the star is a good mother. She went on to state Mathews was problematic, and the restraining order was intended to protect herself and the children from Mathews. Mathews snapped back, and Snooki has not commented since.

Thank you all for the outpouring of love and support I received after I shared my story with Greyson. I created this video to keep you guys updated on my efforts with bubby, as well as start conversations, share stories, and educate one another to break the stigma on developmental delays in children. Mathews and Farley met in 2010 on the set of Jersey Shore. Mathews, who was vacationing in Seaside Heights where the show was filmed, connected with Farley in a nightclub. The couple began dating and in 2012 became engaged. When they met Farley was in a relationship with Tom Lippolis. Lippolis later went on to sue Farley.
Mathews and Farley welcomed their first child, Meilani Alexandra in 2014. On October 18th, 2015 Roger and Jenni made it official, marrying in front of a small group of family and friends. In May of 2016, the couple welcomed their second child, Greyson Valor. The couple has documented Greyson’s developmental struggles on YouTube over the last several months.
By 2018, however, the couple who seemed committed to their family life had called it quits. Farley filed for divorce in September of 2018, but the pair looked to be on the mend, as they traveled together and even documented a date night. After their December argument, it seems like the couple is done for good. Now they have to navigate the world of divorce and co-parenting when there is some seriously bad blood between the pair.
