Which Bravolebs Will Appear on Bravo’s ‘Cash Cab?’

Cash Cab fans cheered the return of their favorite game show on-the-go when Bravo announced it would return this fall.

The show, which originally ran on Discovery, will re-emerge on Bravo as the same show, but with some Bravo sparkle. Riders still embark upon a lucrative New York City cab ride with comedian Ben Bailey as their driver/host.

Contestants still need to fuel their entire ride with correct answers to trivia questions. But if they answer three questions incorrectly, they are booted from the cab regardless of whether or not they reached their intended destination. But if they go the distance, they can receive big money … or make the decision to maximize their money playing a bonus video round. Winners could go home with double their money. Or lose it all.

How will Bravo’s version be unique?

Contestants who know more about Joan Crawford than Joan of Arc are in luck with the Bravo version of Cash Cab. According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, “This reboot will feature a new Bravo twist, including more questions for pop culture lovers.”

Also, riders can anticipate possibly being accompanied by a Bravolebrity, who will support the contestants’ quest for answers. In fact, Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean was so excited to be on the show, she posted about it. Yawn tweeted a link to a clip with her appearance. “Morning, so don’t know if the link will work, but last night in #NYC, I found myself in the #CashCab@CashCabUSA! @RealBenBailey is so amazing! Can’t wait to see this episode on @BravoTV. Stay Tuned!”

A few of the Million Dollar Listing New York cast members like Fredrik Eklund and Ryan Serhant are scheduled to make an appearance too. Also, Bravo confirms that Shep Rose and Cameran Eubanks will also be on the season to help contestants.

Social media plays a part too

Some of the Cash Cab questions can be pretty tough to answer, which is why the social media factor helps considerably. When Yawn jumped into the cab, her group needed to tap into their vast knowledge of Dutch artists. The question was, “What Dutch artist studied actual architecture before creating the physically impossible staircases of his lithograph ‘Relativity’?”

The question is posted on social media as Bailey, Yawn and the contestants watched the answers pour in. As answers emerge, the moment shows the playful community Cash Cab inspires. Bailey greets social media users, giving shout outs to people from various locations. “Hi from Dallas, hello Ben from Ohio,” Bailey said to social media users during Yawn’s appearance. “Kelly says, ‘Good luck ya’ll.’ Hi from Tuscon, Arizona.”

The social media component is especially helpful as the contestants seemed stumped. At one point Yawn says to the camera, “Please help us!” Thankfully social media came through with the answer, MC Escher. Contestants receive two opportunities to tap into social media and from a stranger on the street during their ride.

Cash Cab returns to Bravo on Monday, October 7 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Fans are treated to new episodes every Sunday through Thursday.
