Which Duggar Will Get Married Next?

The Duggars are one of the largest families in the United States, so at any given time, someone might be courting while another is getting married while another is expecting a baby. We’ve watched the Duggars grow up and have seen plenty of weddings between their two TLC shows, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. With so many kids in the family, who will get married next?

The last Duggar to wed was John David in November 2018

Believe it or not, it’s been almost a whole year since we’ve seen a Duggar wedding. The last Duggar to wed was John David, who is the second oldest behind Josh Duggar (his twin sister, Jana, is not married yet). He married Abbie Burnett back in November 2018, and his wedding was long-awaited by fans. Many of John David’s younger siblings were married before him, but he and Abbie had a very quick courtship and wed soon after they started courting. Though the two moved quickly in their relationship, they still haven’t announced a pregnancy, which is uncommon for Duggars (they normally start having children as soon as they’re married).

Right now, there aren’t any Duggars courting

It’s hard to imagine a time when none of the Duggars are courting, but there seems to be a standstill with relationships in the Duggar family right now. Joy Duggar, who is 21, is the youngest Duggar who is married; after her (age-wise) are twins Jedediah and Jeremiah, who are 20. Joy married Austin Forsyth more than two years ago, but the Duggar women tend to get married at a younger age than the Duggar men. It’s been more than a year since a Duggar courtship was last announced (John and Abbie announced their courtship in June of 2018 and were engaged 29 days later), so it’s about time for a new Duggar couple.

Jana, Jedediah, and Jeremiah are the ones most likely to tie the knot next

When it comes to who will wed next, things are still up in the air. Some believe it’s Jana, who is John’s 29-year-old twin sister. While she’s definitely young enough to not be married, 29 is “old” in Duggar years. Her sister Jessa is 26 and already has three kids. It makes sense that Jana could announce a courtship any day now, but some think she has no interest in getting married. In that case, all eyes are on Jedediah and Jeremiah, the 20-year-old twins. There were rumors about Jeremiah (the unofficial “heartthrob” of the family) courting someone, but nothing was ever confirmed, and it hasn’t been talked about in a while. But both boys are only 20, which is still a tad young for a male in the Duggar family.

Jason and James just graduated school, so they might start courting soon

If Jedediah and Jeremiah don’t court soon, Jason or James might announce something before them. Jason, 19, and James, 18, both just graduated their homeschool program, so they’re officially full-fledged adults (since the Duggars don’t go to college). It’s possible one of them might meet the woman of their dreams sometime soon, and there were even some rumors, but so far nothing has come to pass. If Jana gets married, then there will be mostly Duggar sons getting married after that, since the next-oldest daughter, Johannah, is only 13.
