Which Lie Was Ramona Singer From ‘RHONY’ Spreading About Luann de Lesseps?
Ramona Singer from The Real Housewives of New York City had a bit of explaining to do last night. She (sort of) crashed Barbara Kavovit’s clambake and then her loose lips got her into a bit of a pickle.
During the last reunion, Singer dished about Luann de Lesseps’ sobriety. de Lesseps was unable to attend the reunion because she had returned to rehab. But that didn’t stop Singer from spilling about the various places where she witnessed de Lesseps embarrassingly sloshed.
When Singer arrives at the clambake, de Lesseps looks agitated. She was not up to seeing Singer at the party and tried to avoid her. But that didn’t stop Kavovit from calling Singer out on gossip she dropped during the RHONY reunion.
This is what Singer said about de Lesseps
At the reunion, when Andy Cohen asked the women if de Lesseps was drinking again, Singer was the first one to speak up. “She was, yeah, at the Beacon,” Singer said. “I didn’t want to say anything, I was surprised it didn’t happen on Page Six.”
“Luann was very out of it, so much so, she put her head back in my girlfriend’s lap between her legs. And kicked her legs up and the Beacon had to escort her out,” Singer reports. “That was three months ago.”
There was no stopping the Ramonacoaster on this one, as the rest of the cast sat silent. “Then she was at Chris Burgess’ party recently and was asked to leave.” Finally, the women speak up. Dorinda Medley confirms that Bethenny Frankel knew de Lesseps was drinking too.
Was she totally lying?
During Kavovit’s clambake, Singer is confronted on her assertions. The conversation begins with Singer and Kavovit having different opinions of Medley and de Lesseps’ falling out. But then Singer says de Lesseps said mean things about her too.
“You are also spreading lies about her,” Kavovit says. Singer says she did not spread any lies and which lie? Kavovit says she was with de Lesseps during Chris Burgess’ party and that she was not asked to leave. “I was with her, physically with her,” Kavovit recounts. “And her and I walked out together, we got in her car and drove away.”
Instead of owning it, Singer shot back that what occurred at the Beacon Hotel was accurate. Kavovit said she knows nothing about the Beacon, but she wanted Singer to understand the party gossip was not true.
This isn’t the only time Singer gets in hot water
Not only did Singer get called to the mat about her comments about de Lesseps, she preemptively apologized ahead of the episode for a comment she made about Frankel’s boyfriend, Dennis Shields, who died over the summer.
During a conversation with Medley and Sonja Morgan, Singer says something she likely regretted immediately. Morgan comments that Shields could have helped de Lesseps with money regarding a lawsuit. “How smart can Dennis be,” Singer shoots back. “I mean, he’s on drugs, come on,” Singer says this while going through her phone, while Morgan looks completely shocked.
Hours before the episode aired, Singer posted this apology on social media. “I cringed when I saw what I said about Dennis in tonight’s episode. It definitely wasn’t one of my finer moments. I respected and liked him very much and I sincerely apologize to his family and Bethenny for my thoughtless comments.” Frankel hasn’t publicly addressed the apology.
