Which ‘Southern Charm’ Stars Has Kathryn Dennis Dated?
Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis seems like a completely different person compared to the 21-year-old that first showed up during Season 1 back in 2014. After five years of failed relationships, two kids, a custody battle, and rehab, Dennis is still unapologetically real, and she does it with the same “peculiar sense of humor” that she’s had since day one.
From the moment she arrived in Charleston, everyone was crushing on her – Craig Conover, Shep Rose, Whitney Sudler-Smith, and of course, Thomas Ravenel. As she deals with current and past relationship drama during Season 6 — with Ravenel and Sudler-Smith — let’s take a look at Kathryn Dennis’ complete dating history.
During the first season of Southern Charm, Kathryn Dennis was in a relationship with Ravenel, who is 30 years her senior. And, by the end of Season 1, the couple had welcomed their first child. Dennis gave birth to Kensington Calhoun Ravenel on March 24, 2014. The following year, she gave birth to baby number two – a son they named St. Julien Ravenel – on November 9, 2015.
However, the couple called it quits in 2016, and this led to a nasty custody battle that is still going on to this day. Dennis lost custody of the kids after their breakup because she was dealing with substance abuse issues, but after going to rehab and getting sober, the court granted Dennis 50/50 custody of Kensie and Saint.
Just a few months after it was revealed that the former couple had joint custody, Kathryn Dennis filed to modify the agreement and asked the court for primary custody following Ravenel’s arrest for assault and battery in the second degree.
“The Mother is informed and believes it is the best interests of the minor children that she be granted sole custody and/or primary custody of the minor children … with reasonable visitation granted to the Father,” read court documents that Dennis filed in October 2018, according toUs Weekly.
Their custody battle gets nastier by the day, as they have both accused each other of abusing drugs and having mental health problems.
There was a time when fans thought that these two had a brief fling during Season 1, but Dennis and Rose have actually hooked up “six or seven” times since Kathryn Dennis gave birth to Kensie. Rose says they never went on dates, and were just each other’s “booty call,” and the two have remained good friends despite getting rid of their benefits.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dennis said that her life would be very different if she would have pursued a relationship with Rose, but she doesn’t see him as the one who got away.
“I will say life would be a lot different if I would have pursued him,” said Dennis. “But I don’t really think I have a one that got away. I think I have a one that won’t go away.
Rose also revealed that Craig Conover was “courting” Kathryn Dennis when he first hooked up with her. He says that Conover slept in Dennis’ bed a couple of nights in a row without trying anything, so he thought, “I’ll try some things.”
The first time we met Kathryn Dennis was after a hook-up with Southern Charm creator Sudler-Smith. During the current season we also learned that they have recently hooked up before she moved on to men who are not her co-stars.
This relationship didn’t last long, but it happened at the same time Dennis was shooting Season 6 back in October 2018, so it made its way onto the TV screen. Dennis told her co-stars that she really liked the former Florida politician, but not everyone was a fan of Abruzzo.
Craig Conover didn’t like how similar Abruzzo is to Ravenel – with both being disgraced former politicians who have been accused of sexual assault. Kathryn Dennis eventually realized that Abruzzo wasn’t the right guy for her, and she admitted that she ended up ghosting him.
Not long after ending things with Abruzzo, Dennis met Price during a trip to Nashville for New Year’s Eve, and the couple went Instagram official in January 2019. The couple is still together, and Dennis believes the former America’s Got Talent contestant might be “the one.”
“I went to Nashville with some friends and we had dinner and they invited this guy, and they said he was single, good looking, and a hard worker, all the things I have been looking for and never found,” revealed Kathryn Dennis. “We just hit it off. And he’s kind of weird like me. I have a very peculiar sense of humor and he has the exact same one. … I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I am going to marry this guy.’”
New episodes of Southern Charm air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
