Donald Trump follows 46 people on Twitter, and they fall into four general categories: Family, media, colleagues and politicians, and other. Here are a few of the people in each group.

Family

Children Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany Trump see the president’s official blue checkmark on their lists of followers. So too does Melania Trump and Lara Trump, Eric’s wife. The president still follows Vanessa Trump, who was married to Donald Trump Junior before they separated in 2018.

One family member Trump doesn’t follow? Son-in-law Jared Kushner. Ex-wives Ivana Trump and Marla Maples are absent, too.

Media

Trump follows several current and former Fox News Channel personalities, including Tucker Carlson, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Geraldo Rivera, Laura Ingraham, and Bill O’Reilly. He also follows the account for Fox & Friends, which is probably his favorite TV show.

Colleagues and politicians

Trump is following current campaign manager Brad Parscale, former GOP chairman Reince Priebus, and senior advisor Katrina Pierson.

Other

Several Trump-branded hotels and golf courses, WWE chairman Vince McMahon, and the Trump Organization account are some of the other people Trump follows on Twitter.

How many Twitter followers does Trump have?

More than 55 million people follow Donald Trump on Twitter. That’s more than 1.2 million times more followers than people he follows.

When you see that number, it’s easy to see why he prefers Twitter to Facebook. Roughly 23.5 million people like his Facebook page, but more than twice as many people follow him on Twitter.

He also tends to get more reaction, both good and bad, when he tweets. For instance, 4,000 people commented and 4,100 shared his Facebook post regarding a tragic mass shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California. A tweet with the same message received 11,000 comments and 16,000 retweets.

Donald Trump joined Twitter in March 2009, and he’s been active since then. He’s pumped out nearly 40,000 tweets, which makes him one of the most prolific users. However, he’s not the most popular person on the site. He’s No. 17 based on the number of followers.

Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and Barack Obama all have more than 100 million followers, according to Friend or Follow.

Musical artists Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Britney Spears also have more followers than Trump.
