Who Has Lady Gaga Dated?
On Wednesday, Lady Gaga announced the end of her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino. The famed singer has had a lot of relationship ups and downs through the years and most of them have happened in front of the very unforgiving eyes of the public.
Let’s take a look at Gaga’s loves and losses.
Luc Carl
Before Gaga was even on anyone’s radar, she fell in love with DJ and musician Luc Carl. Carl and Gaga’s torrid off and on relationship goes all the way back to 2005. Some sources say that he was even the inspiration for Gaga to get into the music industry.
Though they were no longer dating, the singer was still hung up on
“I’ve really never loved anyone
Robert Fusari
Gaga’s next foray into public love was with record producer Robert Fusari. The two began dating in 2006. Back then, Gaga hadn’t yet reached the pinnacle of her fame but was just breaking onto the scene.
After their breakup, Fusari sued Gaga for $30.5 million, claiming that she failed to give him his 20% cut from her earnings.
According to the lawsuit, Fusari introduced Gaga to a number of record executives who eventually helped her release her album “The Fame” which sold over 3 million copies in the U.S. alone.
He said that he had only received about $611,000 from the singer which was not nearly
Nothing ever came of the lawsuit as there was no substantial evidence to back his claim.
Matthew Williams
Gaga is apparently a big fan of blurring the lines between work and play. In 2008, she began dating Matthew Williams. The two reportedly met at a restaurant in Los Angeles.
After dating, she hired him on as the creative director of Haus of Gaga. Most people would probably recoil at the idea of working with their exes but Gaga and Williams worked together successfully for two years before he left the company.
Taylor Kinney
Gaga met actor Taylor Kinney in 2011 while filming the music video for her song “You and I.” They dated for a whopping three years before Kinney proposed to her.
Sadly after five years together, the two called it quits in 2016.
Gaga spoke about the breakup in her documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two.
“My love life has just imploded,” the singer said. “I sold 10 million (records) and lost Matt. I sold 30 million and lost Luc. I did a movie and lose Taylor. It’s like a turnover. This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this.”
Christian Carino
Shortly after her split from Kinney, Gaga began dating her talent agent Christian Carino.
Carino proposed to Gaga in the summer of 2017, but the pair didn’t announce their engagement until later that year.
On Feb. 19th, they announced their split for good.
