Who Is Captain Sandy Yawn From ‘Below Deck’ Dating?
Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean says dating while being a yacht captain is quite challenging, according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “It’s hard to have a relationship being a yacht captain,” she shares. “And most of my friends that are yacht captains, they’ve divorced or they hook up with people in the industry.”
However, another Below Deck captain, Captain Lee Rosbach has been lucky in love. Rosbach has been married to the love of his life, Mary Anne for 42 years. “Happy Anniversary to my very best friend in the world,” he wrote on Facebook, Bravo’s The Daily Dish reports.”No regrets, I would marry you all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you for all you’ve done for me. I love you to the moon and back. Your Capt forever.”
Although Rosbach is happily married who is Yawn dating? Or is she single? And what else does she have to say about maintaining a relationship while being a yacht captain?
Relationships are tough in yachting
Rosbach blogged about how his wife went with him on many adventures. “God bless my wife, Mary Anne, for putting up with my dragging her all over the world to finally find out what it was that I wanted to be when I grew up,”
Although Rosbach’s wife traveled with him, Yawn says relationships aren’t always so easy, especially on the other person. “It’s not hard for me; it’s the other person doesn’t get it because you’re away and you’re like, ‘Fly to Europe,” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “Fly here.’ And they have a job they have to go to,”
Juggling work and a relationship is also challenging
Yawn recently moved to Los Angeles, California and says she’s dated a bit. However, once she went to work, maintaining a relationship was hard. “You know, I have dated in L.A., and it was great so far. But the minute I went to Europe, it changed, it shifted,” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I believe that distance does not make the heart grow fonder; I think it just makes you forget. And they get jealous, and you can’t talk because you’re busy running the boat, and you’re at sea. The cell phone reception is bad, and then on the flip side is when you feel lonely, and you want to talk to your person, and they’re busy.”
This is what she wants in a partner (and her relationship status)
She says she is currently single. But, this is what she wants (and doesn’t want) when she finds the right person. “Crazy is a dealbreaker,” Yawn told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I want someone who wakes up happy, just is happy to be alive. Like, that’s how I wake up every day of my life. And yes, when there’s something going on in your life, of course you don’t wake up happy. But the majority of the time, someone who wants to live, wants to experience, wants to travel, wants to try different restaurants, wants to go see shows. And I love music. Someone who loves concerts because I am a concertgoer.”
