Danielle Staub of Real Housewives of New Jersey recently got married to Marty Caffrey and that marriage quickly soured. They finalized their divorce and Staub is ready to get hitched again to Duke of Provence Oliver Maier. Who is he and how did they meet? Here is everything you need to know.

The two are getting married on March 4

Danielle Staub and Duke of Provence Oliver Maier are reportedly getting married on March 4, which will be ten days after she finalized her divorce with Marty Caffrey. This will be her 21st engagement.

They got engaged on a trip to the Cheval Blanc maison in St. Barts. The two are reportedly going to leave there to buy engagement rings before the ceremony. On Monday, they plan to get married before the justice of the peace and Teresa Giudice will be a witness.

Maier works as the managing director of Speyside Equity

The German and French businessman works as the managing director of Speyside Equity, according to People. It’s a private equity firm in New York City.

The website describes the company as bringing “an operationally intensive approach to investing in manufacturing businesses within the specialty chemicals, food/ingredients, and metal-forming sectors.”

He is also described on Bloomberg with “Mr. Maier is responsible for sourcing, executing, managing, and exiting investments. He joined Speyside Equity as a Partner, and also held the role of Chief Executive Officer of United Initiators, from 2010 to 2011.” It also notes that he’s an attorney-at-law.

His family owns 15 vineyards and two castles

The duke revealed that his family owns 15 vineyards and two castles in the South of France to People. He made sure to note that Staub didn’t know he is a duke until recently.

Their marriage will make the reality star a duchess. So how did the two cross paths?

He used to date their mutual friend

Staub and Maier met through a mutual friend, who he was dating at the time back in October. They say that things didn’t become romantic between them until later.

I quite frankly couldn’t stand him when I first met him,” Staub told People. “He’s so strong-willed, and at first, I read that as rude, and arrogant and entitled. It wasn’t until I got to know him that I saw the other side.”

Maier said he was determined to pursue Staub. “People don’t like to take a risk, but I took a risk,” he said. “Danielle’s one of the smartest people I’ve met. People have preconceived notions about her from reality TV, but she’s a smart woman. And I was instantly attracted to that.”

The royal also told Page Six that he didn’t leave his ex for the reality star. “I ended my relationship with Gina because it was not working,” he said. “My current relationship with Danielle did not have anything to do with that decision. I have no interest in a current or future relationship with Gina.”

He went on to accuse his ex of not leaving him alone. “Since our relationship ended she has been harassing me and my family, as well as trying to use this situation as an opportunity to get on the show and promote her boutique. She needs to stop this childish behavior, act like an adult and move on with her life.”

The royal was previously married and has a 12-year-old child with his ex-wife. It looks like Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are in for another wedding on the show.
