Who are Middleton’s closet friends?
Most of Middleton’s friends live their lives away from the public eye but she has been spotted out and at events with a few of them over the years.
They include Sophie Carter, who used to date William’s best friend Thomas van Straubenzee, and Alicia Fox-Pitt who went to school with Middleton and recruited her for the Sisterhood rowing team.
Middleton and her husband also have a group of couples they hang out with often and one of those couples are the Meades. Like Hanbury, James and Laura Meade are their neighbors in Norfolk but they knew each other long before that. Laura is Prince Louis’ godmother and James is the godfather of Princess Charlotte.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been best friends with Emilia Jardine-Paterson for years
The ladies have known each other since they were teenagers and attended Marlborough College together. Years later when Middleton and William briefly broke up, it was Jardine-Paterson who took her friend on a trip to Ibiza, Spain.
Jardine-Paterson is also one of the godparents of Prince George and helped Middleton decorate both her Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall homes.
The women William and Middleton no longer speak to
Before gossip sites started dissecting whether the duchess is feuding with Hanbury or not. There were reports about a few other women Middleton cut out of her life.
The Express noted that the two ladies who Middleton and her husband don’t speak to anymore are Isabella
Carly Massy-Birch. According to royal author Katie Nicholl, the former is the sister of one of the prince’s friends and he met up with her during his 2007 split from Middleton. Nicholl wrote in her book, William and Harry, that when they got back together Middleton “insisted that William was not to contact her again.”
In The Making of a Royal Romance, Nicholl claimed that Massy-Birch made Middleton feel awkward during a party in college and outed her and William’s relationship before they were ready to go public. After that, they hardly ever said another word to each other.
