Who Stole Lady Gaga’s Golden Globes Dress?

This past awards season was extremely busy for Lady Gaga. The songstress was cast in her first feature film in a leading role, and it premiered to rave reviews. With Bradley Cooper as her director and co-star — Gaga gave a stunning and authentic performance in A Star Is Born as a struggling musician named Ally who falls hard for rock star Jackson Maine (Cooper). However, despite their connection and Ally’s obvious talent, Jackson’s demons and addictions threaten to rip the couple apart. 

The film garnered rave reviews and was nominated at all of the top awards shows at the top of 2019 including the Academy Awards, the Grammys and the Golden Globes. For every single one of the events– Gaga was dressed to the nines. The periwinkle gown that she wore to the Golden Globes which occurred on Jan 6, 2019, was particularly iconic. However, that dressed mysteriously vanished shortly after the Globes and is now up for auction.

Lady Gaga’s periwinkle Valentino gown details

Lady Gaga looked absolutely breathtaking in her Cinderella-inspired Valentino gown when she showed up on the Golden Globes red carpet. The gown has a classic Hollywood feel as well as a massive train. Apparently, the entire thing was inspired by the late, legendary Judy Garland. Of course, the songstress had to take her look up a notch. She chooses to dye her white-blond hair periwinkle to match the fabric of the dress.

She also paired the look with some bold jewelry including a massive diamond necklace and matching earrings. It was truly stunning. Unfortunately, shortly after the ceremony, Gaga’s dress vanished from her hotel room and was never seen again.

Who stole Lady Gaga’s Golden Globes gown?

The 76th Golden Globes Awards was held at the Beverly Hilton earlier this year. After accepting the award for Best Original Song and heading to the afterparties –Gaga changed in one of the iconic hotel’s rooms. Normally when this happens a member of a celeb’s team is present to wrap the gown up and ship it back to the designer. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Instead, a Beverly Hilton housekeeper found the gown and put it in the lost and found. However, when no one claimed the gown after an extended period of time, it was returned to the housekeeper who in turn placed it up for action.

How much is Lady Gaga’s Golden Globes gown auctioning for?

Currently, Gaga’s gown is now up for auction on Nate D. Sanders’ site with a minimum bid for $8,000. There is still three days left to bid on the stunning piece. A letter of authenticity is also included in the listing with a message from the housekeeper which says, “After the time legally held by lost and hound, they gave it to me as a gift from her.”

Valentino is claiming that the gown was stolen

This doesn’t seem to be Lady Gaga’s fight. However, Valentino has contacted the police over the gown. TMZ is stating that the fashion house has reported the gown stolen, and they’re trying to figure out how to halt the auction that is trying to make money from the custom made gown they lent the singer/actor. For now, Nate D. Sanders has no plans on stopping the auction.
