[Spoiler alert: The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart Week 6 finale.]
Rudi and Matt self-eliminated on ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’
At the start of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart Week 6, host Chris Harrison tells the remaining couples — Rudi and Matt, Trevor and Jamie, and Chris and Bri — they will receive one last date, which will include a fantasy suite if they choose. They will also prepare two songs for the final performance. Harrison also makes it clear he only wants serious couples to continue on.
Everyone seems excited about what’s to come except for Matt. He doesn’t think his connection with Rudi is as strong as Trevor and Jamie’s or Chris and Bri’s. He tells Rudi the truth about his feelings. Then after some tears, Rudi and Matt decide to self-eliminated and go home ahead of the finale.
In a confessional, Rudi admits she didn’t know how much Matt cared for her until their final conversation. And although music artist is disappointed, she says she’s glad she experienced it with Matt by her side.
Meanwhile, Matt says it broke his heart to see Rudi this upset. He isn’t 100% sure he made the right decision. But regardless, Matt is frustrated with himself for taking away Rudi’s last chance to sing on the show.
Jamie and Trevor, Chris and Bri receive Fantasy Suite dates
After Matt and Rudi say goodbye to The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, the finale continues with Jamie and Trevor’s love story. The couple goes on their date and they open up to one another. Jamie says she’s falling in love with her partner and sees a future with him. Trevor also admits he knew it was always going to be her.
Then after their Fantasy Suite date, Jamie and Trevor seem head over heels for each other. They also think they could get used to seeing each other in the morning. And ultimately, they’re energized for the finale.
Meanwhile, Chris and Bri are also solid. However, Bri is a bit worried because of her past relationships and she wants to take things slow. She brings it up to Chris during their date and they mutually agree to forego their Fantasy Suite card. That said, both parties make it known they’re ready to create a life together after the show. But for now, they believe waiting is the right choice.
Who was sent home on ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ Week 6 finale?
The next day, Chris and Bri head to rehearsals. But they aren’t connecting. Bri admits she keeps thinking about what happened the night before. And when it’s finally time for the last Listen to Your Heart performance, the couple seems a bit nervous. But on the other hand, Jamie and Trevor are ready to take on the world.
At The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart finale, Harrison brings in the judges — Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jason Tartick, Taye Diggs, Rita Wilson, and Jewel. First up are Jamie and Trevor. They sing “Unchained Melody” and “Speechless.” The judges love every second, applauding the couple’s talent and chemistry. They receive a critique of relying too much on each other. But even so, Trevor and Jamie leave the stage on a high. Jamie even says their performance made her fall in love with Trevor.
Then Bri and Chris take the stage with “Make You Feel My Love” and “Give Me Love.” Like their competition, the couple receives high marks for their covers. And at this point, it’s anyone’s game.
After the judges deliberate, Harrison reveals the first winning couple of Listen to Your Heart is Chris and Bri. This means Trevor and Jamie will be sent home as runner-ups. Nevertheless, Trevor says he still feels unstoppable with Jamie by his side.
Later, Bri and Chris exchange roses. And of course, they accept. The episode ends as they sing “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” Then in an end-credit clip filmed weeks later, Chris and Bri record their new album together.
