Many artists already have multiple Billboard awards under their belt, but this year’s show could set new records for most.

Many artists are going for their third straight win

This year’s Billboard Awards is going to be one we’ll never forget.

Not only because of the mind-blowing performances we’re set to see, but because of the records that are about made.

Many artists are looking to set their own records at this award show and we are confident they just might do it.

The “In My Feelings” rapper is going for his third-straight win for Top Rap Artist and with 17 nominations under his belt, that just might happen.

Florida Georgia Line is also going for their third straight win for Top Country Song. The duo is nominated for their record-breaking collaboration with Bebe Rexha “Meant To Be”.

Florida Georgia Line is also looking to become the first group to win Top Country Artist a second time after taking home the award in 2015.

Imagine Dragons are vying for their third-straight win at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. They are hoping to win Top Duo/Group, which could tie them with One Direction as the only three-time winners in this category’s history.

Female artists will take over this award show

The ladies of music are set to receive all of the glory at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

Not only is Kelly Clarkson returning as host for her second year in a row, but female artists are dominating the categories this year.

Cardi B. leads the pack of artists with 21 nominations this year.

The rapper has only won one Billboard Music Award so far and after tonight, she could most likely walk away with a handful.

Her Invasion of Privacy album has a very good chance of winning Top Rap Album, an honor that has not been won by a female artist ever since Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded back in 2013.

Taylor Swift could most likely hold a new record after tonight’s Billboard Music Awards.

The pop singer currently holds the record for the most wins by an artist, but after tonight, she has the possibility of beating herself.

If Swift wins Top Female Artist or Top Touring Artist, she would top her own record of 23 Billboard Awards and complete her week of making history in the music industry.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on NBC May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
