Whoopi Goldberg Denies ‘The View’ Cast Is Fighting Saying, If It Was True ‘There Would Be Issues’

The View is always making headlines because of how heated the cast gets while covering topics. There are rumors that Joy Behar and Meghan McCain don’t like each other because of the moments they had on the show.

Whoopi Goldberg has the hard job of keeping them focused. She recently talked about the rumors that they’re fighting. Find out what she had to say and more.

Whoopi Goldberg recently talked to Meghan McCain about respect

Once again things got uncomfortable on The View. This time the co-hosts were talking over each other and Goldberg tried to put an end to it.

She told them to “take a breath” then said, “Everybody has something to say at the table, we really do want to hear from everybody, but we’re starting to do that thing.” McCain responded with, “I don’t know what that means, ‘that thing.'”

Goldberg explained that she meant when they talk over each other. McCain suggested this would be fine since it’s The View.

“It is The View. You know what, let me tell you something about The View,” Goldberg said. “This show has always had the ability to have different points of view, which we respect around the table.”

She continued, “And when we talk to each other, we also exhibit respect. So when I’m saying to you, ‘Hold up, because we’re not hearing each other,’ I’m not trying to cut you off — I’m trying to get you heard.”

There are rumors that McCain and Behar don’t get along. Goldberg has been asked to weigh in on them while on Watch What Happens Live.

“I don’t know, I don’t think about it,” she answered when a fan asked about the misconceptions of McCain and Behar’s relationship. Host, Andy Cohen pressed for more when it comes to the feud rumors.

“No, listen, if they didn’t like each other, they would not be on TV together, I’m just sort of saying,” she said. “I don’t really think about their relationship. I’m actually thinking strictly about myself.”

She said if they were fighting there would be issues

One again the co-host is answering questions about the cast possibly not getting along. This time she had a funny way to deny the rumor.

“Here’s the thing, I don’t often have much to say,” she said on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “I’ve been there for almost 10 years. Everybody has what they need to do, and folks, when it’s women they say, ‘You know, they’re fighting.’ You know, if we were fighting, you’d actually know it.”

She continued to explain her reasoning. “We’re old broads,” said Goldberg. “We’re like, pow! [throws a punch] We’re not like, ‘Stop it, you’re so mean to me.’ We don’t do that. We will slap you into next week. If we were truly fighting, there would be issues.”

The Oscar winner also talked about having to deal with each other being different. “But, you know, it is living with other people who are not you,” she explained. “They think differently, they want to say different stuff and I figure, that’s OK, they’re trying to do their gig too because, after all, this is our day job where they’re paying us for our opinions so that’s what we do.”

It sounds like the cast just don’t want to hold back, but everything is fine according to Goldberg.
