Why Adam Levine Says He’s Having the ‘Greatest Time Ever’ After Quitting ‘The Voice’
Adam Levine made the shocking decision to quit The Voice. He was then replaced by Gwen Stefani.
The new season has officially started and Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend have been having fun with his replacement. How is Levine handling not being on the show?
The Maroon 5 singer claims he’s having the greatest time ever. Find out what he has been doing and more.
Adam Levine quit ‘The Voice’ after season 16
Levine was one of the two original coaches on the show, but that changed when he decided to quit. He released a statement about his decision on Instagram.
Part of the statement read, “I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you to every single coach I ever sat in those chairs with. That is shared experience that is singularly ours. We have that for life.”
Before Levine left, he did get some backlash from fans. Some wondered if this was the reason he was quitting.
“Adam’s decision was difficult one for him. It had nothing to do with backlash,” a source told Us Weekly. Another mysterious source also claimed he had disliked the format of The Voice for a few seasons after changes were made.
Blake Shelton had a message for him before this season

Shelton and Levine became close friends from working together. Season 17 is the first season without Levine, but the country singer didn’t forget about him.
“Adam’s not on the show and I want him to know that he can still kiss my a** wherever he is right now,” he joked with Entertainment Tonight.
He then said, “Literally, you know, with Adam being gone, I’m not gonna lie, that was scary. It’s weird,” Shelton admitted. “Without him here, it’s literally shocking to not have him here.”
He’s having the greatest time ever being a dad
Levine talked about life after being a coach on the show with Ellen DeGeneres. He seems to be happy with his decision.
“[I’m] able to stop in this moment to [be] with my new, young family and have the greatest time ever,” he told the talk show host. “Now I’m just a stay-at-home dad. I just stay at home and do very little. It’s great.”
The father also tried sharing his love of music with his kids. Sadly, that kind of backfired with his youngest daughter, Dusty.
“She doesn’t like it that much,” he revealed. “I wish I was lying. This one moment I spent with her, [I was] playing guitar and she was playing with stuff, looking at me every once in awhile. I was auditioning for my daughter, it’s ridiculous. … Finally she just looked at me, put her hand on the guitar and said, ‘Put that down.’”
The singer is still releasing new music. He recently released a song called “Memories.” Fans of The Voice will have to wait and see if he’ll ever pay the show a visit after quitting. For now, it seems like he’s happy with his decision.
