Why Are Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Moving Even Farther Away From Her Family?
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo recently told fans that they’re uprooting their lives in Laredo, Texas to move to Los Angeles — even farther away from Jinger’s family. The two posted their big announcement on Instagram and on their blog. But why are the two moving even farther from the Duggars? Does it have anything to do with Jinger’s family?
Jinger and Jeremy moved to Laredo when they got married
Jeremy Vuolo was already living in Texas when he and Jinger first met. The couple didn’t begin courting right away because they were living so far apart, but when they finally met, they both knew they wanted to be together. The two only courted for a month before getting engaged. They planned a wedding pretty quickly, then Jinger shipped out of her Arkansas home to join Jeremy in Texas. For nearly three years, the couple has been living in the Lone Star State. And last year, they added to their family when they welcomed their daughter, Felicity.
Jinger said living away from her family took some getting used to
Jinger may have seemed strong when she picked up and left her hometown of Arkansas, but things weren’t always easy. On the most recent episode of Counting On, Jinger revealed that there was a lot of emotion in leaving her family, and it definitely took some getting used to. She did say that she missed her family a lot when she first moved somewhere new, but with most things, the adjustment comes in time. Now, she’ll be moving even farther away from her family. And although it will be another big change, it’s nothing she hasn’t done before.
Now, the couple is moving to Los Angeles so Jeremy can take classes
Jinger and Jeremy announced in a blog post recently that they’re leaving Texas to pursue a new life in California. Jeremy is taking graduate classes at The Master’s Seminary, and the family will be heading to California in July. However, a move to California also means that Jinger will be even farther from her family. She visits when she can, but it will be even harder for her to get back to Arkansas now that she’s on the West Coast. However, it doesn’t appear that her family had anything to do with the relocation. The couple noted that God is sending them out west, and leaving Laredo will be “one of the hardest things” they’ve ever done.
They recently hinted they won’t be having more kids — yet
When Counting On producers asked Jinger and Jeremy what they were looking forward to most about 2019, the couple said they’re excited to watch Felicity grow. While a few other Duggars mentioned having another baby, Jinger and Jeremy seemed content with their only daughter, especially in the wake of making such a big change. Although the couple will probably have more kids down the road, it doesn’t look like there will be a pregnancy announcement from them at any point this year.
