Why Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Being So Secretive These Days?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the best at keeping secrets. Much of their relationship had been kept out of the public. And now that they are married and have a son, they are still going to great lengths, to make sure that the public does not find out too much about them. While the world was able to watch the couple say “I do,” we didn’t get to find out where they went on their honeymoon.

They also keep their son, Archie, away from the public as well. Occasionally, we get to see a glimpse of the newest member of the royal family, but they have never shared who Archie’s godparents are. And there is a good chance that they never will share this information with the public. So, why do Prince Harry and Duchess Markle go to such great lengths to keep their personal life so private?

Prince Harry and Markle have become experts when it comes to keeping a secret. Before Baby Archie was born, the couple moved from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in order to get a little more privacy. The couple spent a few million dollars on renovations for the cottage to make it feel more like home. Some of the renovations included some new additions to the backyard. It had been reported that the couple had planned on adding a tennis court to the backyard, as well as some plants, shrubbery, and security lights for privacy reasons.

Because their construction was largely being funded by taxpayers money, before they could start the renovations, their plan had to be approved by their local council. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s plan were approved, and then shortly thereafter, it was able to be viewed by the public.

After getting the green light for their outdoor renovations, Prince Harry and Markle had decided to change their plans to include something else. And because they are the masters of secrecy, they had figured a perfect way to do it without everyone knowing. They declared the changes to the backyard were necessary, but details on the changes would not be made public because they had “national security” concerns about the information getting leaked to the public.

In addition to every other aspect of their life, the couple can now check their backyard renovations off of their long list of things that they were able to keep away from the public.

Since Prince Harry was very young, he has seemed to shy away from the spotlight more than his brother has. Also, after the death of Princess Diana, it was rumored that Prince Harry loathed the paparazzi. When he was a young man, the paparazzi seemed to love to catch him in compromising situations and blast unflattering images of him all over the cover of every celebrity magazine.

Once he and Markle got together, the media went crazy with trying to find out everything that they could about the new couple. Prince Harry had even released a statement that urged the media to stop harassing his girlfriend. To this day, Markle and Prince Harry are one of the popular couples in the royal family. Which, unfortunately, means that it is very hard for them to live a life out of the spotlight.

Will the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to keep Archie out of the spotlight?

Prince Harry has suggested many times that he would like to give his son a normal life. This means that he will probably do everything in his power to make sure that his son doesn’t have to worry about being followed by cameras all day. Because technology is always changing and it is getting easier and easier to spy on someone without them knowing, Prince Harry and Markle will have to get very creative when trying to think of new ways to keep their private life a secret.
