Amongst the “newlywed” pairs and divorcees are couples who have been together forever! One such beloved couple is model/author Chrissy Teigen and musical heartthrob John Legend.
How long have John Legend and Chrissy Teigen been together?
Remember Legend’s song “Stereo”? It was released back in 2007 and after a bit of filming had an accompanying MV. The video featured the bodacious blond as Legend’s love interest. Well as it turns out, spending 12 hours together was more than enough to send the sparks flying. It didn’t hurt that Legend was looking dashing in a suit while Teigen was dressed down in her underwear!
Eventually, it was revealed that the two went back to Legend’s hotel room to chow down on In-N-Out burger and hang out after the video shoot. Let’s just say the chill session was more than PG-13.
In 2014 Teigen reminisced about the fateful moment with Wendy Williams. “We spent the entire day together, me in my underwear and him in a full suit, and I went to go say goodbye to him, to his hotel and we didn’t ever say goodbye that night.”
After a few months, the cute couple became official. That means Legend and Teigen are coming up on their 12th year together!

In very delicate script on their inner arms, Teigen’s says, “John Luna Miles,” and Legend’s reads, “Chrissy Luna Miles.” The names, which resemble heartbeats, are for their 2-year old daughter and 10-month old son. Talk about couple goals!
What’s Legend and Teigen’s secret?
Despite starting as a hookup, Legend and Teigen had a solid start. Back in 2014, Teigen told Cosmopolitan:
“The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, ‘There’s so much more out there.’ I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, ‘What are we?’ Marriage was never my
goal, because I’ve never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him.”
This showed that Teigen never pushed things, Legend probably didn’t either!
