Why Does Jennifer Aniston Have to Keep Fighting Pregnancy Rumors?

The tabloids love to exploit the inside lives of celebrities at any cost. The best way to do that? Marriage and pregnancy announcements – not necessarily in that order. Nobody knows how true this statement is better than Jennifer Aniston.

Poor Aniston has had more than 55 articles published about her supposed “baby bumps” and still no baby. Why does she have to keep fighting pregnancy rumors? Better yet, why is the world so obsessed with the idea of Jennifer Aniston having a baby?

‘Friends’ may be behind the pregnancy obsession

One speculation as to why the world is so obsessed with Aniston having a baby goes back to her hit television show, Friends. Back in early interviews, Jennifer Aniston spoke on how she would one day like to be a mom. Then, her character on the show (Rachel) did end up pregnant and having a baby.

This wouldn’t seem to be much proof that the baby craze started here, except it was just after Rachel had her baby that the first headlines started popping up. Jennifer Aniston’s great success as Rachel on Friends had fans dying to see her have the baby she spoke about wanting. The timing might be coincidence, but we don’t think so.

Aniston may have fertility issues

Although we can’t say for certain, since Aniston has never directly said she has fertility issues, it is a major possibility. There have been a lot of rumors that she has used IVF and other fertility treatments – and we mean a lot. There are also rumors that Aniston and Brad Pitt broke up because of her fertility issues.

While many rumors hold no merit, this one appears to. First, Brad Pitt immediately started a family with Angelina Jolie after leaving Aniston. This tells the world he was ready for children, and supports the idea that Aniston was not able to provide him with that. Second, Aniston has hinted that she’s had trouble conceiving in a few interviews. Again, she never said it outright, but the world can read between the lines.

She still isn’t pregnant

Rumors recently resurfaced that Jennifer Aniston was pregnant for the billionth time. In 2017, it was rumored that she was carrying Justin Theroux’s child after they broke up. The rumors centered around the hardships Aniston would face as an aging, single mother.

In 2018 it occurred again, with a central focus on Aniston’s age. The tabloids couldn’t seem to decide in 2018 whether Aniston would be adopting two Mexican orphans or had finally succeeded with IVF treatments. It doesn’t matter, however, because Aniston is still not pregnant.

Jennifer Aniston has spoken out about the rumors

Jennifer Aniston has spoken out about the rumors on multiple occasions, although the press seems to be deaf to her pleas they stop. In fact, Aniston states that all these rumors are detrimental to not only her mental health but the mental health of girls everywhere. Her statement on the matter has resurfaced numerous times.

Aniston stated: “We are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Let’s make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. Let’s make that decision consciously, outside of the tabloid noise. We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own ‘happily ever after’ for ourselves.”

Does she still want children?

After the above statement, fans may be wondering whether the former Friends star still envisions becoming a mother. Aniston states she has not completely ruled it out, but neither is it the central point of her life at this point. This means it could go either way, and fans can still hope for a baby Aniston.
