On April 16, ABC revealed the next episode of Station 19 Season 3 would air on Thursday, April 30 at 9 p.m. EST. This means the medical drama won’t premiere a new episode on April 23

For those of you who may not know, ABC will be televising the 2020 NFL Draft, which kicks off at 8 p.m. EST. The event will continue through the evening and take place during Station 19’s time slot.  Shondaland’s How to Get Away With Murder Season 6 will also be delayed. But once again, fans of Station 19 and HTGAWM will only have to wait a week for new episodes to resume per usual.

What happens when ‘Station 19’ Season 3, Episode 14 returns?

When Station 19 Season 3 returns on April 30, the ABC series will continue with its 14th episode, titled “The Ghosts That Haunt Me.” And despite the brief hiatus, the new episode will pick up where we left off.

In the April 16 episode, the A-Team grieved Pruitt Herrera’s (Miguel Sandoval) death. The crew participated in a calendar fundraiser organized by Vic Hughes (Barrett Doss). Meanwhile, Andy Herrera (Jaine Lee Ortiz) took some time off with her new husband, Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe), at her side. Then in a turn of events, Emmett Dixon (Lachlan Buchanan) told Ben Warren (Jason George) about Sullivan’s overdose on his first day.

Meanwhile, the Station 19 Season 3, Episode 14 synopsis promises fans some secrets will come pouring out. The description reads:

Andy returns to work while she and Jack [Grey Damon] fight to save people trapped in a collapsing bowling alley. Meanwhile, Ben confronts Sullivan about his drug problem; and Maya’s mother, Katherine [Ivana Shein], pays Maya [Danielle Savre] a visit.

How many episodes are left until the ‘Station 19’ Season 3 finale?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 may have ended early due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, showrunner Krista Vernoff confirmed Station 19 Season 3 wrapped production before everything shut down. She also revealed how many episodes the current cycle will receive.

“We shot #Station19 earlier this year!” Vernoff wrote on Twitter. “You get to see all 16 episodes!!”

Now we know Station 19 has three episodes left until the third season comes to an end. Deadline also reported the grand finale will air on Thursday, May 14. So there will be no more interruptions between the April 30 return and the final episode.

Meanwhile, Vernoff shared the last two episodes of Station 19 Season 3 will involve a few Grey’s Anatomy crossovers. Then in an interview with TVLine, the showrunner teased the episodes will highlight the what was supposed to happen in the flagship series’ season finale.

“Ironically, when fans watch episode 15 and 16 of Station 19, they will probably have a feeling of some of what we had planned for [the original Grey’s finale],” Vernoff said.

On April 14, TVLine reported the original Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 finale was going to feature a “cataclysmic event” that could potentially lead to the death of a major character. If the final two episodes of Station 19 involve crossovers, then it’s likely something big is coming. So stay tuned. This is going to be an interesting ride.
