Why Kaitlynn Carter Is ‘Worried’ About Her Ex Miley Cyrus Amid Her Apparent Fling With Cody Simpson
Things are really heating up between Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson.
Though it’s only been days since they were first romantically linked, they’ve already given each other nicknames and seemingly made their relationship Instagram-official.
And while they do make a cute couple, their developing relationship has been a bit shocking to watch not just because Cyrus separated from Liam Hemsworth a
Carter’s alleged feelings about Cyrus and Simpson’s fling are revealed
On Oct. 6, TMZ reported that Carter is not “bothered” by the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s apparent new romance. However, sources told the outlet, “Kaitlynn has expressed concern over Miley’s behavior to friends … and she’s worried for her well-being.” The news came three days after the paparazzi caught Cyrus making out with Simpson over breakfast.
As of writing, Cyrus has not commented on the report. However, she previously shut down critics and called out the sexist double standard regarding men and women dating after a breakup.
“I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning … I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up…. But I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality,” she wrote on Twitter on Oct. 4.
“I refuse to recluse and “date” from home cause A. That’s not fun B. Extremely uncomfortable/puts me in a vulnerable position …. i would like to share an activity with someone I am dating and not be stuck at home with pretty much nothing to do but “Netflix and chill,” Cyrus added.
Finally, she asked the public not to make dating “awkward” for her. “Get used to me dating – this is where I’m at! #HotGirlFall,” she continued.
How long ago did she and Carter break up?
People reported on Sept. 21 that Cyrus and Carter had ended their relationship.
“They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated,” an insider added, “but they’re just not in a romantic relationship anymore.”
A source later added to the publication that Cyrus thought the relationship was moving too fast and wanted to pull back and “focus on her career.”
They split about a month after they were first linked.
The world learned of their fling on Aug. 10 when Cyrus and Carter were seen kissing during an Italian getaway. The same day, Cyrus’ representative confirmed that she had split from Hemsworth, whom she married in December of 2018 following a nearly 10-year relationship. Meanwhile, Carter had just ended things with Brody Jenner.
The Hunger Games actor later filed for divorce on Aug. 21, with reports claiming that Cyrus and Carter’s fling was the final straw.
Where Cyrus and Hemsworth stand now
According to reports, Cyrus and Hemsworth are close to finalizing their divorce. Since they had a prenuptial agreement, it’s a pretty easy split. Sources say that the talks between the estranged lovers are “amicable” and that they should have everything ironed out by Oct. 31.
So, Hemsworth and Carter are out, and Simpson is in.
