Why Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Aren’t Really Moving to Wyoming?

The Kardashians fit perfectly into the Los Angeles environment. To the broader public, they seem to embody every cliche about the state. But as fans recently found out, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may not actually feel that they belong there. Instead, they may be looking forward to embracing country life. New evidence suggests the Kardashian-West family might be leaving their native California and moving to Wyoming.

Just weeks after Kardashian casually mentioned living in Wyoming during her Vogue Arabia interview, we find it may be more than just a passing thought. In the interview, West asked where she saw herself in ten years and Kardashian said: “In my mind, I’m already living in those 10 years. I see us living on a ranch in Wyoming, occasionally going to Palm Springs and our home in Los Angeles – and becoming a lawyer.”

Honestly, this sounds like a nice vision that people say they’re going to do, but they never actually do it. However, we should have known better than assume Kardashian was the same way. She’s a woman who makes her dreams and goals a reality, so we should have guessed that she was serious.

Kardashian, who plans to take the bar exam in 2022, wants to practice law in Wyoming and focus on prison reform.

“I would probably do it from there [Wyoming] and fly into DC, NY, and LA,” she said.

Fortunately, Kardashian has enough money that it wouldn’t be a problem to live in one state and travel to others for work. In fact, she already does a lot of this already, so it wouldn’t be a new experience.

Recently, West traveled to Cody, Wyoming and purchased a ranch for $14 million. According to TMZ, the property — called Monster Lake Ranch — is a total of 9,000 acres. West now owns half and leases the rest from the federal government.

Luckily for the family, the Ranch gets its name, not from actual monsters, but because the lakes are known for monster-sized trout. There are two lakes on the property, along with eight lodging units, an event center, and a restaurant. And then, of course, there are horses — lots of horses.

The “lodging units” on the property sound more like cabins than the luxury home Kardashian and West are used to in LA. If there isn’t already a suitable home, it’s likely that they’ll build a large custom home on the property before actually moving there for good. But this way, they’d be able to design and decorate the home to their exact preferences.

Are the Kardashian-West family moving to Wyoming?

It’s unlikely that West purchased the property as an investment or just a vacation property. According to a source for People, he is also touring the local schools. If the family will be spending enough time at the ranch to need schooling, they’re planning to move there.

For now, just West is in Wyoming finishing up his album. According to the source, West thinks the state is the perfect place to create music.

Kardashian and the rest of the family have been visiting him periodically. In fact, Kris Jenner brought everyone out to Wyoming recently to “rebuild their family bond.” But now that West and Kardashian own property, it’s probably just a matter of time until the family settles in.

We imagine the family must be so excited about their new land. The ranch will be a fantastic place for their four kids to grow up. There will be so many fun activities for them to do, much more peaceful and enriching than Los Angeles.

As for whether they’re actually permanently moving to Wyoming, it appears they’re not. Kardashian recently appeared on The Tonight Show and when asked about Wyoming by host Jimmy Fallon, the reality star was able to clear the air.

“We love Wyoming. It’s always been such an amazing place,” Kardashian diplomatically started. “My husband did just buy a ranch there. His dream and his vision is to move there. I love LA, so I envision summers, I envision some weekends but yeah, we love it. It’s like the prettiest place you’ve ever seen in your entire life.”
