Kevin Hart is having a pretty bad month. On the heels of a suffering extensive back injuries from a car wreck, the actor and comic has been hit with a lawsuit stemming from a 2017 cheating scandal that involved a secret recording of his affair.
Hart claims he was secretly filmed while he engaged in sexual activity with another woman while on the road. The video was released while his wife was eight months pregnant with the couple’s first child.
He denied any participation in the release of the video and never spoke on the woman who was on the recording with him. He may now be forced to finally tell the world his side of the story as the woman has come forward with a $60 million lawsuit, alleging Hart played a bigger part in the scandal.

The comedian tried his hardest to get ahead of the story and issued a public apology to his wife for his actions and the humiliation that would follow. Hart was vague in his apology and did not offer details, but it was clear from the video that it was a sticky situation.
TMZ released photo and video evidence of the funny man in compromising poses with a mystery woman. A later video showed the two in a hotel room following what was assumed to be a sexual encounter. The source who leaked the tape and photos to TMZ explained that Hart had indeed been intimate with the woman, despite being a married man with a new baby on the way.
Hart and his wife, Eniko, put on a brave face and stood together amid the storm. He hinted the photo and video leaks were an inside job. Despite the public backlash, he promised to learn from his mistakes and vowed to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Sabbag claimed that Hart had no idea their sexual liaison was being secretly filmed and that both she and Hart were victims. Bloom also made Sabbag’s position clear: she did not want a dime from Hart. Instead, she wanted the perpetrator to pay for what he did.
Hart remained mute about Sabbag and his infidelity but promised he was being extorted. He alleged that a man named Jonathan Jackson, a former close friend of his, threatened to release the tape and information to the public if Hart did not pay up. The Hollywood Reporter reported in 2018 that Jackson denied that he was involved but was eventually hit with two felony charges to which he pled not guilty.

She believes Hart was motivated by the desire for more publicity ahead of a comedy tour and that he conspired with Jackson (the alleged extortionist) to hide the camera and record their intimate moments.
Hart has not yet spoken out about Sabbag’s lawsuit.
