Though Kardashian most likely did not intent for her response to come across that way, many people on Twitter are claiming the designer does not care about those who support her business.

A customer had to work overtime to afford Good American jeans

Khloe Kardashian is in some hot water with a few of her fans after her response to a Good American customer on Twitter recently surfaced.

The customer took to Twitter to share that she had to work an extra 20 hours at work to be able to afford a pair of Good American denim jeans.

Kardashian replied to that fans tweet by writing, “Awwwwww this is so cute!!!! I’m so happy you enjoy them.”

Many fans felt as though the reality star’s response was extremely insensitive and that she didn’t appreciate the fact that there are people out there working hard to be able to afford her merchandise.

One person commented under the tweet, “not to sound like a hater but this actually upsets me!! someone had to work a stupid amount of hours to afford ONE pair of jeans. A millionaire thinks it’s “cute” that ppl have to calculate & think how many hours they have to work to afford little things.”

While another fan wrote, “Khloe I think its nice she likes your jeans but picking up extra shifts to be able to afford them isnt cute. You should send her a whole box for even wanting to do that.”

Many feel Khloe is not in touch with reality

Many are upset with Khloe Kardashian’s tweet because they feel as though she thinks it’s “cute” that people have to budget their money in order to afford something nice for themselves.

Since Kardashian’s Good American jeans range between $159-$189, some people have to save up in order to make a purchase. Let’s not even forget to mention the shipping costs on top of that.

Fans believe that since Kardashian grew up with money, she doesn’t know what it’s really like having to put in those extra hours at work to be able to afford something.

Even though many were and still are upset with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, there are some who have been coming to Kardashian’s defense.

One fan commented, “She didn’t have to.. she chose to because those jeans are what she wanted. Khloe thought it was sweet that someone wanted to buy her jeans so badly, they were willing to WORK EXTRA for something they considered a treat for themselves. What’s wrong with that? It’s no different..

“She didnt mean It the way you took it. She thought it was so cute to think you loved her Jean’s to work a little extra for something you wanted. She wasnt criticizing on anyway. She needs an apology. She is the best and most caring,” another fan tweeted.

Customers still love the brand

Though she came across as insensitive with her tweet, Kardashian was still happy there are women who support her business and love the merchandise.

Khloe Kardashian and Good American reps have yet to comment on the situation.

The reality star has discussed the brand being an inclusive oasis where women of all sizes can find their perfect fit in jeans.

“I think what was so crucial to Emma and I, is creating a designer denim that was still trendy and cool and edgy that went into a variety of sizes that for some reason, the market feels like they don’t need to produce, which is really unfair,” Kardashian said about the brand.

“I used to be a girl that would walk into a boutique and they didn’t have my size of denim and I was really body shamed into being too overweight. I couldn’t fit into their denim,” she added. “So I’m fighting for all the real girls and all the girls with hips and curves, yes!”
