Why Khloe Kardashian’s Daughter Isn’t Allowed to Watch ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’

Khloe Kardashian might not have had a happy love life in years of late, but ever since she became a mother in April 2018, she has definitely found a new purpose in life.

True Thompson, the daughter of Khloe Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, has become a shining light for Kardashian, and she clearly revels in being a mom.

Still, Kardashian has some ground rules in place for her daughter, even though she’s not yet two years old. Keep reading to learn about what Kardashian’s rules for her daughter are, and how she co-parents with Tristan Thompson.

True Thompson was born in a whirlwind of drama, in April 2018. Tristan Thompson’s first cheating scandal was still heating up the headlines and everyone wondered what it would mean for Kardashian and Thompson’s relationship.

As it turned out, the birth of baby True healed their fractured romance — for a few months anyway, until Thompson would cheat on Kardashian yet again, this time with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.

While Kardashian might not be with the father of her child anymore, she has repeatedly stated that she is very happy with just her daughter, for now, and isn’t really actively dating.

Doubtless, Kardashian spends a lot of time with baby True and loves posting adorable Snapchat selfies of the two of them to social media. She never tires of talking about her adorable baby and of bringing True to hang out with her Kardashian cousins as often as possible.

Khloe Kardashian has some rules for True Thompson

Even though Kardashian is a doting parent, she still has some hard and fast rules for when baby True gets a little bit older. In a fan Q/A session about a month before True was born, Kardashian laid out some plans for how she planned to parent her daughter.

Top on the list: Kardashian insisted that True will have to be thirteen years old before she is allowed to watch an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Kardashian didn’t clarify why she chose that specific age or why she doesn’t want True to watch the family’s show before then, but it could be surmised that she doesn’t want her daughter to get too invested in the drama between Kardashian and Tristan Thompson (as outlined on the show) before she is really old enough to understand.

A few of the other rules that Kardashian has in place include that True must be fifteen before she is allowed to go on her first date and that she will grow up listening to “old school” music. Kardashian hasn’t provided an update on her list since True has been born, but it would be interesting to see how her views might have changed.

Khloe Kardashian works at co-parenting with Tristan Thompson

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson broke up for good earlier this year, following the outrage of the Jordyn Woods cheating scandal. Although they aren’t together anymore, the former couple still tries to keep things cordial for the sake of their daughter.

Although they have had some rough patches, most notably some awkwardness at True’s first birthday party, the drama between Kardashian and Thompson has been kept to a minimum.

Kardashian is intent on True having a father in her life, and reportedly, wants to make sure that whatever the problems between her and Thompson, that it doesn’t affect his relationship with his daughter. It seems as though she definitely has the right idea and wants only the best for her adorable little girl.
