Why Kristin Cavallari Reportedly Isn’t on ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’
Kristin Cavallari joined The Hills after Lauren Conrad left the show. Now it’s getting rebooted with The Hills: New Beginnings, but she won’t be part of the cast. There is a reported reason why she won’t be reuniting with her former cast members.
Kristin Cavallari returned to reality TV with her show, Very Cavallari
Cavallari actually returned to reality television before the reboot happened. Her show is Very Cavallari, which followed her opening a flagship store and her marriage with Chicago Bears football player, Jay Cutler.
The premiere season did well enough that the show came back for a second season. That might have The Hills fans wondering why she won’t be on her former show’s reboot if she’s still interested in doing reality TV.
She reportedly isn’t allowed to be on another show while she’s on Very Cavallari
It’s pretty common for stars to agree basically to not compete with their own show, and therefore not go on to others. There is a report that Cavallari just isn’t allowed to star in another show right now.
“She can’t do the show because she has a contract with E!” a source explained according to People. “But she’s still close with Heidi [Montag] and Spencer [Pratt] and is excited for them.”
Would the reality star join the cast if she could? She has recently talked about her reactions to The Hills coming back.
Cavallari said she would love to have a cameo on the show
Although Cavallari was sometimes painted as the “bad girl” on Laguna Beach and The Hills, she seems down to return to the cast.
She talked about being sad about missing out on the opportunity. “Of course,” Cavallari told Us Weekly. “I wish I could be part of it, I really do, and so it’s just one of those things. I wish I could make a little cameo or something!”
One thing that has changed after all this time is that Cavallari wouldn’t necessarily be excited to get into the drama. The mother said she doesn’t know if she could “go back to all that drama on a day-to-day basis.” Instead, “I would love to make just a little cameo, a little pop in, pop out.”
There are some cast members that Cavallari has naturally kept in touch with after the show. “I still talk to Brody. I talked to him when he was trying to make his decision about doing The Hills or not,” she revealed. “[I said,] ‘
It might comfort Cavallari to know she isn’t the only one not coming back. Lo Bosworth isn’t either and reportedly said on her podcast, Lady Lovin’ “I don’t want any association with any of those people” and “the disassociation from all those people is what I’m hungry for.”
The former star, Lauren Conrad is also reportedly not coming back. She opted out of the first run of The Hills in the middle of Season 5, and that’s when Cavallari was brought in to star. It seems like Conrad just got tired of reality television after doing from high school to when she was out of college.
