In a perfect world, everyone would grow up with parents that stayed married forever, and every relationship would work out perfectly. As we know, life is a little different, and many couples end up growing apart and eventually divorcing. For Meghan, this was the case with her own parents. Elle reports that the duchess was only six years old when her parents separated, and these days, she has an extremely close relationship with her mother, while she remains estranged from her father and half-siblings.

In addition, Meghan was married before she met Prince Harry. A few years after getting married in Jamaica, Meghan and her first husband Trevor Engelson parted ways in 2013.

The fact remains that Harry isn’t exactly a stranger to divorce, either. Although he was never married prior to his relationship with Meghan, the prince knows all too well that not every marriage was meant to last. Harry is very tight with his father, Prince Charles, and it goes without saying how much he loved his mother, the late Princess Diana. Chances are, he wishes they could have stayed married forever. Unfortunately, their relationship just did not work out, and they officially divorced in August 1996, as reported by PopSugar

Express can report that according to a recent podcast, Harry and Meghan need to have a marriage that is a little stronger than other relationships. Is this because they are destined to divorce? Absolutely not. It is just that for both of them, the foundation may have not been there to teach them what a successful marriage is all about. Royal fans do not need to worry, however. Although Meghan and Harry have both been exposed to their fair share of failed marriages, they seem to be over the moon about their own relationship, and they both support each other in the most amazing ways that we can imagine. Looks like Meghan and Harry are a perfect match.
