Ramona Singer has been a mainstay since the premiere season of The Real Housewives of New York City. Why is Ramona Singer refusing to film ‘RHONY’?

RHONY fans are still assimilating that Frankel will not be returning for Season 12 of the show and recent news on Singer is making them nervous. There are reports around the last OG of the franchise alleging she doesn’t want to continue filming the series after she found out the Skinnygirl founder had quit.

“Ramona Singer is refusing to film for RHONY right now as she is hoping to get a bigger bump in salary,” an insider told HollywoodLife. “She feels like she is an OG of the show and now with Bethenny gone, there is more money, so she went back to Bravo asking for more and is unhappy with her initial offers. She knows her worth and is holding her ground.”

The source close to the production also says that Singer is hopeful that everything will work out and she’ll be filming again soon.

“She is hopeful this will all get worked out. She loves the show and what it does for her,” the source added. “She has filmed a few scenes, but hasn’t officially signed her contract yet as the ladies can film without signing on if they choose and that’s what Ramona has done. Ramona is living her best life in the Hamptons until this gets worked out.”

Could Ramona Singer quit ‘RHONY’ like Bethenny Frankel?

With Singer halting the filming of her scenes to get a better contract, there is a possibility that things will not work out. If producers don’t meet Singer’s demands for a higher payout, maybe she would land on the chopping block. A source close to the production doesn’t think Singer would go the Frankel route and leave RHONY.

“Ramona would never walk away from RHONY as she absolutely loves doing the show. It’s opened so many doors for her. She honestly feels right now she‘s living her best life,” a source told HollywoodLife.

“She feels she really helps make the show and couldn’t care less what the other ladies think,” the source added.

Bethenny Frankel quit ‘RHONY’

It was just ahead of the start of production of Season 12 of RHONY that Frankel announced she was quitting the show.

“I have decided to leave the ‘Housewives’ franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel said in a statement via Variety. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have.”

Frankel continued: “My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come,” she ended her statement.

Jill Zarin is open to returning to ‘RHONY’

Following Frankel’s exit, fans have suggested Jill Zarin return to the reality show and she has revealed she’s thought about it recently.

“The show did such amazing things for me,” she told Life & Style. You know, I’d like to go back in some ways but in some ways, you know, it’s a scary proposition because Gary is dangerous and you know he’s gonna get me in trouble. Friend role is great, friend role is the best because I never did it for the money, it was never about money for me so yeah, it was more to have fun and I think that it would be fun but you know if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.”
