The Jonas Brothers are currently touring around the world. Their Happiness Begins Tour started in August 2019. Due to popular demand, the band added multiple dates in certain cities. For the first performance in Toronto, the Jonas Brothers cut their concert short and did not perform an encore.

The Jonas Brothers’ concert ended early because of technical difficulties

The Jonas Brothers had two scheduled concert dates in Toronto, Aug. 23 and Aug. 24. The band played at the Scotiabank Arena. Towards the end of the show on Aug. 23, the concert ended early with no explanation. Soon after the concert, the Jonas Brothers issued an apology to their fans on Twitter.

“Toronto we’re so sorry we didn’t get to play our last two songs. Unfortunately there was an unforeseen technical difficulty and our production team advised we end the show. Thank you all for coming out tonight! We love you all so much! #HappinessBeginsTour,” they wrote.

Some fans were upset the concert ended early

According to fans in attendance, security asked fans to leave without giving a reason why. Even though security asked fans to leave, the entire arena stayed seated. While refusing to leave, they sang one of the songs from the Jonas Brothers’ encore, “Burnin Up.”

Afterwards, some fans complained on social media about the concert ending early. However, others defended the Jonas Brothers.

“The Jonas Brothers came back brought the band back gave us new songs a new album and a tour and y’all mad bc they had to leave the concert in Toronto early bc of technical difficulties and could’ve died bc of the screen/tv thing was breaking but y’all mad bc u missed two songs,” wrote a fan on Twitter.

The Jonas Brothers’ tour has been eventful so far

This is not the first time a concert from the Jonas Brothers’ Happiness Begins Tour made headlines. It seems every few stops on the tour, something out of the ordinary happens at a Jonas Brothers concert. At the group’s show in Raleigh, North Carolina on Aug. 14, the band helped an audience member pull off a surprise proposal.

Towards the end of the show, the Jonas Brothers picked audience members to step onstage. At first, it seemed like the group selected a random woman and invited her onstage. They hugged her and asked who came with her to the concert. When the fan said she attended with her boyfriend, the Jonas Brothers called his name and he walked out onto the stage with a ring box.

After he proposed, the Jonas Brothers brought out champagne to celebrate. Other fans in attendance captured the proposal on video and uploaded it to social media. Because of this, the proposal went viral.

A day after the Raleigh concert, the Jonas Brothers performed in Washington D.C. on Joe Jonas’s birthday. Fans at the concert witnessed Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas bring a birthday cake onstage. The crowd also sang “Happy Birthday” to the middle brother.

The Jonas Brothers performed a second show in Toronto on Aug. 24. The group will also perform at the 2019 MTV VMA’s on Aug. 26. They are nominated for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Video, and Video of the Year.
