Why Tori Roloff From ‘Little People, Big World’ Urges Fans to Stop Asking if She’s Pregnant

Little People, Big World has been a staple television series for many fans over the years. Thanks to Matt and Amy Roloff, a couple who both have dwarfism, we got to see a glimpse into what their lives are like owning a farm with their four kids. And as far as their kids are concerned, Zach was the Roloff child who truly stood out, as he was the only other member of the family who also had a form of dwarfism.

Today, the Roloff kids are all grown up — and Zach, who’s now 28 years old, is married and has children of his own. Fans have grown to love his wife, Tori, over the years as well, as she’s been featured on the show many times. While the couple has one child, fans keep asking Tori if she’s pregnant with baby No. 2, and she’s not having any of it anymore. Here’s why she’s telling fans to stop.

Zach and Tori had their first baby, Jackson, in 2017

How many times have you had a question about your little one and it was too late to text your mom friends? I can’t tell you the amount of times I SHOULDN’T have googled something about my little one. There were times that I worried about Jackson when he was totally fine but it took hearing it from someone else to calm my nerves. I just discovered the app @peanut and goodness I wish I would have discovered it earlier. @peanut is a social networking apps just for moms and moms to be. The app connects you with other mamas in your area who have similar interests or similar aged children. You can use it to ask other mamas simple questions about your child or baby, or you can use it to simply connect with other moms and find fun things to do in your community. I have really enjoyed talking with moms in my area on @peanut and I really encourage other moms out there to check it out! It’ll keep us all off google and help us feel part of a community! #peanutapp

After Zach and Tori tied the knot on the Roloff family farm back in 2015, fans were eager to hear if the two would be having children. Finally, the couple announced their pregnancy and had a baby boy, Jackson, in May 2017 — but the pregnancy wasn’t without its difficulties. In Touch Weekly notes Tori and Zach found out their child also had dwarfism when Tori was pregnant at 34 weeks. Though Tori clearly knew there was a 50% chance of this occurring, she was still scared and worried that her child would be regarded as “different” his entire life.

She quickly got over her fears, however, as she noted she knew she’d love “whatever pops out.” And Zach was completely prepared for his child to have the same condition as he does. “You have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two,” the publication notes Zach said. “But I knew, dwarf or not, I was going to parent my child with the mentality that not everyone gets a trophy. You have to earn it.”

She scolded fans on Instagram when they asked if she was pregnant

No I’m not pregnant. Yes I love baggy clothes and food. What if I was a women who couldn’t get pregnant? What if I was a women who had body image issues? Asking a woman if she’s pregnant can be extremely damaging. Luckily I know when I get asked these questions it’s coming from a place of love. I know our fans are eager to see our family grow-as are Zach and I and our families- and you guys just want to see us make more adorable babies like baby j. However I hope you think twice about asking a woman “are you pregnant?” Or “when’s the next one coming?” You don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors in anyone’s life. I say this because time and time again I’ve watched my own friends and family struggle with having a baby and I know how much it hurts every time this question is asked. If I believed the magazine articles written about me I’ve been pregnant for the last year and a half. If and when Zach and I are blessed with another little one we will share on our own time and in our own way. We love you guys and so appreciate your love and support. No one wants to see baby j be a big brother more than I do but let’s wait patiently together! #zandtpartyofthree #storyofzachandtori

Perhaps fans are eager for Zach and Tori to have more kids or maybe they’re suspicious of Tori’s baggy clothes, but either way, it seems Tori has had enough of her followers asking her if she’s pregnant. People explains the rumors first started when Matt, Zach’s father, posted a video that had Tori in it on Oct. 15, 2018. Followers then inquired in the comments section of the video as to whether Tori was sporting a baby bump.

Tori then took to her own Instagram to quell the rumors. “No I’m not pregnant. Yes I love baggy clothes and food,” she wrote in the post. She then went on to explain why speculation like this could be incredibly harmful for many women. “What if I was a women who couldn’t get pregnant? What if I was a women who had body image issues? Asking a woman if she’s pregnant can be extremely damaging,” she continued. “Luckily I know when I get asked these questions it’s coming from a place of love. I know our fans are eager to see our family grow-as are Zach and I and our families- and you guys just want to see us make more adorable babies like baby j.”

Do Tori and Zach want more kids?

She may not be pregnant at the moment, but Tori assured her followers that if she was with child, she’d let everyone know when she was ready to do so. “If and when Zach and I are blessed with another little one we will share on our own time and in our own way,” she captioned on Instagram. “No one wants to see baby j be a big brother more than I do but let’s wait patiently together!”

As for how many kids Zach and Tori expect to have, In Touch Weekly reports when asked by a fan on Instagram about how many children she wants, Tori answered with, “3 or 4.” That doesn’t necessarily mean another pregnancy is going to happen soon, however. For now, she’s proud of the skin she’s in, even if that means not having the perfect postpartum body. “I, of course, get insecure, but my body has been through some crazy things and I have so much respect for what the female body can do,” Tori said during an Instagram Q&A.
