Why Tori Spelling Said She ‘Could Never’ Join the ‘RHOBH’ Cast

Tori Spelling started out acting in shows like 90210. Later she got her own reality show with her husband, Dean McDermott and their kids.

Spelling revealed that she is disappointed that she’s never been asked to join the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) cast. Find out the newest thing she said about that and more.

The RHOBH cast has multiple actresses on the show like Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna, and Denise Richards. Spelling would definitely fit in and she said she’s disappointed that she hasn’t been asked to join the cast.

Spelling said it makes her “really sad” that she hasn’t been approached to do it. “I was born in Beverly Hills, so I have one thing going for me,” she said on Sirius XM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show. “I’m married with a lot of kids, drama follows me everywhere, they’ve never asked me!”

Her BH90210 co-star, Jennie Garth was asked to do the show. “Imagine if you had done that show?” Spelling said to her. “I just can’t picture — what would you do? Imagine you having to cat fight with all of those women?”

Garth revealed one reason why the opportunity didn’t work out. She said reality TV is “not my jam.”

Spelling confronted Andy Cohen about not being asked

Garth and Spelling later appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. A fan asked her about her desire to be on the show. This was the perfect opportunity for Spelling to confront Cohen and she took it.

“I know. I read that you were offended that you’ve never been asked,” said the talk show host. “Not offended! OK a little bit, a little bit,” admitted Spelling. “Because I’m like the biggest fan and I feel like I grew up in Beverly Hills, and this one’s been asked, and she doesn’t do reality TV.”

Cohen asked if she’s friends with any of the stars. “Denise, Lisa, Kyle,” answered Spelling. Typically new stars need some kind of connection to the existing cast. This would certainly boost her chances in getting cast on the show. But does she actually want to be that kind of reality star?

She said she’s ‘too nice’ to join ‘RHOBH’

The mother might be used to inviting cameras into her home. But there is one thing holding her back from becoming a housewife.

“I do not want to be on the housewives, I could never do that,” Spelling told Us Weekly. She added, “I am like, ‘That drama …’ but, God, I love to watch it and I’m friends with them. I’m just like, ‘Nope, I just wanna watch it on TV.’”

Spelling admitted that RHOBH is “one of my favorite shows, but not to be on, just to watch. As a viewer like everyone else. I could never. I would get eaten alive. I am too nice and a people pleaser to be, to get in those fights they get into.”

It seems like Spelling is one of the many celebrities who are fans of the show. She didn’t get the sanctification of being asked, but she says she wouldn’t do it if she was offered a spot in the cast.
