Why Tyler Cameron Thinks Peter Weber Is Going To Be A Great Bachelor And How He Thinks He’ll Get Hurt

Peter Weber was recently announced to be the next bachelor and he has the full support of his fellow Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cameron gushed about his friend, saying he’s “going to be amazing” in the lead role.

“I’m excited to watch Peter. He’s just — he’s got so much joy in that smile, and he’s got that subtle swagger… he’s great,” he said.

Cameron thinks the process will absolutely work for Weber–that he’ll be leaving the show with a fiancé.

“I think he will fall hard for somebody. He may fall hard for a couple people because we saw it with Hannah. It’s tough. It’s a very hard position to be in. I think he’s got a genuine heart,” he said.

What Tyler Cameron thinks the hardest part of being the bachelor will be for Peter Weber

As for what Cameron predicts the hardest part of the job will be for Weber:

“It’s going to hurt him to say goodbye to people, but he’s a class act,” he said. “Look at his family. He comes from an amazing family.”

It’s safe to say Cameron is over-the-moon excited for his friend and this opportunity.

“Peter, keep killing it brother. I’m proud of you. I’m so stoked for you,” he said. “Go find your girl.”

Why Tyler Cameron turned down ‘The Bachelor’

In his interview with ET, Cameron confirmed that The Bachelor “was something we talked about.” But, ultimatley, he decided against it.

“You shouldn’t go on the show if you have a girlfriend,” he said as his reasoning, both calling out Jed Wyatt and perhaps nodding to his budding relationship with Gigi Hadid.

“My heart wasn’t 100 percent there, and that’s something you have to be fully invested in. I was on the other side as a contestant, which is a much easier role than being the lead of the show,” he said.

Another big factor for Cameron was his father’s health. At the time of casting, cameron says his “dad was very sick and I was very nervous and scared.”

“I sat on it, thought on it, and my heart wasn’t in it,” he added.

Cameron says his father’s been incredibly supportive of his modeling career, even with his health problems. But it’s hard for Cameron to know his dad’s uncomfortable all the way in Florida when he’s working in New York.

“He’s been an amazing support system through this. There’s times where I want to just go home and see him and hang out and he’s like, ‘No, stay up there, do what you gotta do,'” he said. “Hopefully I’ll get him up to New York soon. He wants to see the leaves change and all that.”

Thankfully, Cameron’s father has been feeling better recently.

“It’s tough because when you’re in New York, you can hear it in his voice when he’s not feeling good and when he is feeling good. So lately, every time I call him, he’s been sounding good, so that’s awesome.”
