Why World War Six Is Trending
2020 has been a long year and it’s only January. In this month alone, we had World War III trending, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry left the royal family, the coronavirus sent people into a mass panic, and Kobe Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter accident.
And the madness isn’t over yet. Many of us woke up to World War VI trending, which was more than a bit alarming as there have only been two World Wars. So, what’s up? Why did we skip three wars and more importantly, why is World War VI trending?
Why is World War Six trending?
John Bolton, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser has been working on a book. The New York Times recently revealed that the book, “The Room Where It Happened” will allege that Trump told Ukraine to investigate Democrats in exchange for aid. Earlier this morning, Trump took to Twitter to denounce the claims made in Bolton’s book.
“For a guy who couldn’t get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn’t get approved for anything since, ‘begged’ me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying ‘Don’t do it, sir,’ takes the job, mistakenly says ‘Libyan Model’ on T.V., and many more mistakes of judgement, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?” he tweeted.
Reactions to World War VI
People around the world were shocked to wake up and see World War VI trending.
“I must have slept through WW3 and WW4 and somehow through WW5 too because I’m seeing talks about World War Six???” one person tweeted. “A good night’s sleep can do that am I right?”
Others had some questions for Trump.
“If John Bolton was as bad a choice for National Security Adviser as Trump tweeted this morning–someone who could have gotten us into World War Six–then Trump should resign immediately,” a user wrote. “He didn’t just put our national security at risk in Ukraine. He’s doing it every single day.
And others were seriously doubting the President’s motives.
“Remember Republicans, the President has never been subjected to questioning under oath and has done nothing but obstruct any attempt to shed light on his misdeeds,” one person wrote. “These are not the actions you would expect from an innocent man. The man is waging world war six in his head.”
And some were more worried about personal hygiene than potential war.
“Donald Trump is talking about World War Six while we have #coronavirus on the verge of becoming a global pandemic,” another person said. “We need strong leadership right now and good information. We should be focused on is the virus asymptomatic and resources to create a vaccine. Wash your hands.”
