Fans will get to experience one of the greatest concerts of all time

One of the main focal points in this brand new film is the remastered footage of Diana Ross’ most legendary concert.

In July 1983, Diana Ross made history with one of the largest performances ever held in Central Park.

Over the course of two days, the concert amassed nearly 1.2 million people who came to see the queen of Motown hit the stage.

The main goal of this concert was to raise money for a children’s park, with a portion of the proceeds from Showtime’s exclusive broadcast and the money received from souvenirs benefiting its construction.

People from far and wide came to witness Diana Ross do what she does best, entertain.

From the costumes to the hit songs, every single person in that audience and at home were eating up every second of this concert until mother nature had other plans.

25-minutes into the first day of the concert, the sky turned dark and soon came a downpour of rain.

Instead of Diana Ross running off stage to get dry, she stayed put and continued entertaining the crowd while the rain came down.

Since then, that performance has gone down in history as one that defined a generation.

Now, fans will have the opportunity to relive that day and get to experience Diana Ross in all her glory.
