Will Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston Ever Co-Star Together?
As much as everyone wants Jennifer Aniston to take part in a Friends reunion, you have just as many people wanting her to work with Brad Pitt again. Despite their marriage together, they never worked in a movie together, other than briefly appearing together on Friends.
Their marriage in the summer of 2000 truly represented a different era that seems almost gilded before things turned dramatic for America. We all know the turmoil Pitt has gone through since with his decimated marriage to Angelina Jolie. Aniston hasn’t had an easy time either, outside of always being positive about her life.
Both of their careers are still strong, so what are the chances they’ll link up at least in a film if not romantically in real life?
The rumors about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston linking up romantically continue
It’s interesting to note Pitt and Aniston seem to have stayed friends for a while. There was a saving grace there that they didn’t let the failure of their marriage turn against one another in a he-said-she-said battle.
While there was a bit of time before they spoke to one another again, they’ve been seen together a few places more recently. Enough rumors started where everyone thought they were maybe dating again and considering another marriage try.
Fortunately, George and Amal Clooney reps were quick to quash the stories about former trying to link up Pitt and Aniston again when visiting Rome. The adamant behavior by the media to have these two rekindle their love affair is unabated, but it probably won’t happen.
All fans can really hope for is the two to end up working together in some capacity. There isn’t a doubt they had — and potentially have — great chemistry.
Just how close of friends are Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston?
There’s still a lot of mystery about how well Pitt and Aniston really get along. Reportedly, they linked up again (as friends) when Pitt showed up to Aniston’s birthday party earlier this year.
Whether they’ve seen one another in prior years is still a bit of a mystery, even if we’ve heard they’ve been supportive to one another. Plus, Aniston herself apparently invited Pitt to attend her 50th birthday rather than him showing up unannounced.
With this, we see they could easily work together without any acrimony. The question is, should they work together, or would they fall into the same trap as some actors who end up in a romance connected to their characters rather than reality?
We only bring this up because Pitt and Jolie fell in love on a movie set, broaching the idea of whether filming movies skirts life reality for many couples.
Should Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt do a romantic comedy together?
You may remember Pitt’s only time acting with Aniston in a Thanksgiving 2001 episode of Friends. In the episode, his character despises Rachel, Aniston’s character, giving everyone at the time an ironic laugh.
They might have worked together on a film eventually had Pitt not fallen in love with Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. Now 15 years removed from all of that, should Pitt and Aniston act in something, like perhaps a romantic comedy?
As we’ve said, being romantic in a movie can sometimes create a blind magic toward a romance not really tenable beyond a movie set. Or maybe Pitt and Aniston know one another all too well to not fall into this trap.
No doubt the more a couple already knows about each other, the better the potential performance in making it convincing. Let’s hope someone comes up with a top-tier script for them and they agree to the project, even if they play characters opposing each other.
