Since Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger were spotted having a very romantic picnic together in June, the paparazzi have followed their every move. Fans clung to the images and articles posted online, and everybody couldn’t help but wonder just how serious the new couple was. It turns out they are pretty serious, and the clues were there all along. Now we’re all wondering, how soon is the wedding?

Pratt and Schwarzenegger left clues

There were a lot of questions on how serious Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger really were. But clues along the way said they were pretty serious.

The couple was photographed with each of their families and, as we all know, meeting the families is a very big step. An even bigger step? Meeting your partner’s children. The new couple was photographed with Chris Pratt’s son, Jack, in the last few months and it was then that people realized just how serious the two were.

Now, it’s been confirmed that Chris Pratt popped the question and Katherine Schwarzenegger said yes. That’s right! The two are engaged!

The big engagement announcement

Chris Pratt made the announcement about their engagement on social media, along with a statement about how they would have ideally been able to keep it secret a little longer. However, the way the press followed their every move, he stated, made it impossible and the couple would prefer to let this cat out of the bag themselves.

The adorably sweet announcement from Chris Pratt said: “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live bolding in faith with you. Here we go!” The announcement was posted beside an image of the two holding, presumably just moments after Pratt proposed.

No date yet and the engagement could be short or long

Since the proposal is so recent, there is no news on when the Pratt-Schwarzenegger wedding will take place. Although many would assume they’d have an extended engagement since they haven’t been dating long, their relationship has moved quickly. This means the wedding could sneak up on fans just as quickly as the proposal announcement did. Further, they may choose to have a secret wedding and keep everyone guessing about their current marital status. All the world can do now is stay tuned.

How did Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger meet?

The couple was set up by Katherine’s broadcast journalist mother, Maria Shriver. It’s estimated they started dating around April of 2018 and instantly hit it off. Sources say they began talking a lot from the beginning, although they kept it a secret until the paparazzi found them at their June picnic.

Of course, in June there were only rumors. When the two were seen sharing a public kiss in July, those rumors were confirmed. After, the two could be seen together often. When together, the two seem always to be holding one another and sitting or walking close.
