Will ‘It: Chapter Two’ Be on Netflix?
Just when you thought he was gone. Pennywise returns to Derry to terrorize Beverly, Bill, and the rest of the gang. Although It: Chapter Two is currently playing in theaters, some fans are wondering when and if the movie will be available for streaming on Netflix. Is It: Chapter One on Netflix? Where can you watch It: Chapter One before watching the sequel? Here’s what we know about the film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.
‘It: Chapter One’ is not on Netflix
It seems like just yesterday fans saw Bill, Beverly, and the gang stand up and fight against Pennywise, the evil entity who often takes the shape of a clown. Still, some horror fans haven’t seen It: Chapter One. For others, however, maybe a refresher before watch the new It is a good idea. Even if we’ll all float here, we might not all stream here.
Unfortunately, It: Chapter One is not available for streaming on Netflix. Not yet, anyway. There are multiple popular horror movies, including The Conjuring, Insidious, and The Bye Bye Man, are currently on Netflix. However, there is no word regarding when or if the first and second It movies will be available on the streaming platform. Not to worry, It fans you can rent or buy It: Chapter One on iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, Vudu or wherever you purchase digital content.
When does ‘It: Chapter Two’ release digitally and on Blu-ray?
It: Chapter Two premiered in theaters on Sept. 6, 2019. Presumably, it will remain in most theaters for a few weeks. Still, some fans are wondering how they can take the stories of It back home. Even if It isn’t available for streaming on Netflix, fans can purchase digital and physical copies.
Although the release date for DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital copies of It: Chapter Two has not been announced, fans can preorder the film from retailers like Best Buy. The soundtrack for It: Chapter Two, as well as physical copies of It: Chapter One are currently available for purchase on Amazon.
Should I watch ‘It: Chapter One’ before watching the sequel?
Some Twitter users say you don’t need to see the first movie to understand the plot of the sequel. If you’re a horror fan, however, you should still see the first movie. Regardless, the fan reactions for It: Chapter Two confirm it is just as disturbing, eerie and creepy as the first film, if not more.
“It: Chapter 2 was so good! The transitions were aesthetically pleasing and innovative. I loved the playful yet suspenseful animation. Some stuff could’ve been shortened, but overall it was a good movie,” said one Twitter user. This also might not be the end of It.
According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “there won’t be a post-credits scene, however, since Stephen King’s story will be concluded in the film’s two-hour and fifty-minute run time. However, we might not have seen the last of Pennywise the Dancing Clown. When It director Andy Muschietti was asked if he’d ever return to direct another It sequel, he replied by saying, ‘Eventually.’”
It: Chapter Two is currently available in theaters.
