Will Jinger Duggar Defy Her Parents and Get a Job When She Moves to Los Angeles?
There are plenty of Duggar family members whom fans love, and Jinger is always up there. We’ve been watching the 25-year-old grow up on screen ever since the 19 Kids and Counting days, and it’s hard to believe she’s now married with a child of her own. One of the reasons Jinger has gained such a massive following is because she seems like one of the more independent Duggar kids, too. And she’s proving she’s not afraid to go out on a limb, as she recently announced that she and husband Jeremy Vuolo are moving to the City of Angels.
Jeremy has a specific reason as to why he wants to move — but what about Jinger? Will she fully pull away from Duggar tradition and get a job herself? Here’s what people are saying.
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are moving for Jeremy’s education
It looks like Jinger and Jeremy’s small move to Texas was just a precursor to their bigger plans to move far from the Duggar family home in Arkansas. The happy couple recently announced via Instagram and their family blog that they’re moving to Los Angeles this coming summer. And while they love Laredo, Texas, they’re super excited to start this new journey in the big city.
“Through much prayer and counsel, the next step for our family is to relocate to Los Angeles to attend Grace Community Church as Jeremy pursues graduate studies at The Master’s Seminary,” Jinger and Jeremy wrote on their blog. They also noted that leaving Laredo “will be one of the hardest things we’ve ever done; our friends here have become like family.” It’s interesting that they would mention Laredo and not their direct family members, too, especially since the Duggars are such a close bunch.
The Duggars traditionally believe women shouldn’t hold jobs outside the home
We know what Jeremy will be up to Los Angeles — but when it comes to Jinger, we’re not so sure. She’ll certainly be looking after Felicity, of course, which is a full-time job in itself. And many probably don’t expect the young mom to do much aside from household chores, cooking, and childrearing, as that’s traditionally what the Duggar women are raised to prioritize.
It seems like it’s OK for the married Duggar women to seek out money via Instagram influencing, however. We frequently see Jill Duggar promoting various clothing shops on the ‘gram, and fans suspect that’s because she no longer makes a paycheck from TLC. As for Jinger, she and Jeremy are still part of Counting On, so they certainly make a bulk of their income from the show. And Jeremy may also have a decent chunk of money in the bank from his past as a professional soccer player.
Some suspect Jinger could be building her own brand
It’s entirely possible that Jinger will stay home with Felicity and forego any sort of career — but some expect she’ll be doing way more. Celebrity Insider notes Radar Online recently saw that Jinger was posting more of her cooking creations, leading some to believe that she would pursue some sort of culinary career. Not only that, but Celebrity Insider also notes that Jinger shows her followers what she buys from her cousin Amy’s boutique quite often, which leads some to believe she may even start her own brand. Given how popular Jinger is, there’s no doubt a brand of her own would do well, too.
Will Jinger go out on a limb and start her own business from home while Jeremy busies himself with his studies? That’s surely what fans want, as it might also serve as an act of defiance against her ultra-conservative upbringing. We’ll have to wait and see what she gets into when she’s in the big city far away from her other family members.
