Will Jon Gosselin From ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ Ever Marry His Girlfriend, Colleen Conrad?

When Jon and Kate Gosselin first hit our TVs, fans were captivated with their gigantic family containing eight kids. The family rose to fame due to the fact that Kate had both twins and sextuplets — an extremely rare occurrence. And though everything seemed to be going well for the Gosselins at the start of their fame, things quickly fell apart for Jon and Kate when cracks in their marriage surfaced.

Now, Jon and Kate have been divorced for nearly a decade — and they’re both doing their best to move on with their lives. While Kate is seemingly single, Jon has a long-term girlfriend, Colleen Conrad, who’s a real catch. Will he ever marry her? Here’s what he’s said about tying the knot a second time.

Jon has been dating Colleen since 2015

After his split from Kate, Jon was no stranger to public scrutiny for the women he was dating. And while he made some missteps along the way, his relationship with Colleen Conrad has proven to be loving and strong. Us Weekly reports the two began seeing each other in 2015. As one source told the publication, “They ran into each other after years of not seeing each other and instantly reconnected.” YourTango also notes the two didn’t waste any time getting serious, as they moved in with each other after just one month of dating.

Colleen certainly seems to have her life together, too, and she’s definitely helped Jon when the public picked him apart. She’s a registered nurse with two older kids of her own, and Instagram photos show two of Jon’s kids, Hannah and Collin, have spent time with Colleen’s kids as well.

We also can’t forget how Colleen has shown her support for Jon in the past. She set up a GoFundMe page for him to help raise money to pay for all of the legal fees involved in fighting for custody of his kids.

He’s said in the past he doesn’t see a point in being married anymore

The two have been together for years, and it seems both of their families enjoy each other — so is Jon going to tie the knot with Colleen anytime soon? Unfortunately, back in 2016, Jon was too hyper-focused on his children and other aspects of his life to consider marriage. As he told Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t think there is a point in being married. I mean, I might be spiritually, but there really isn’t a point. Our kids are grown now. I don’t know, I have mixed emotions about marriage, I do.”

Though Jon didn’t expect he’d be walking down the aisle in the future, he did mention he understands the appeal when you’re still in your younger years. “Anyone who does it when they’re young, god bless them,” he said. He also mentioned that he DJ’d bachelorette parties a few times and still congratulated the bride-to-be without feeling jaded in any way.

He may be rethinking his stance thanks to Colleen, however

Jon didn’t have marriage on the brain back in 2016 — but could his tune have changed since then? He’s spoken highly of Colleen in the past, as he told Entertainment Tonight, “She’s been so supportive of me. She basically straightened my life out and got me stable and focusing on work.” And now, the two are still bonding and stronger than ever.

In 2017, listeners of Kate Casey’s podcast heard Jon talk positively of tying the knot, People reports. When Kate asked Jon, “Do you think you’ll get married again?” Jon mentioned that he actually liked marriage. “So, I don’t know,” he said. “I’ve been with Colleen for almost three years. She’s a huge part of my life.” Perhaps given another year or two we’ll see Jon walking down the aisle once again.
