Will Kendall Jenner Launch a Beauty Line? There Are Signs She Could
If there’s anything we all can agree on when it comes to the Kardashian-Jenner family, it’s that they have a serious love for makeup.
When they’re not sharing their beauty hacks on social media, they’re tanning or releasing their very own products under ever-popular brands like KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics. However, one sister has yet to branch out and release her own cosmetics line. It makes you wonder: Will Kendall Jenner launch a beauty line?
While the supermodel has yet to comment on the subject, there are signs that say she will. Let’s talk about whether you can expect to see some of Jenner’s products on shelves in the future.
Kendall Jenner filed a trademark patent for her own brand
According to a May 2019 Women’s Wear Daily report, Jenner has already taken the first step in starting her beauty brand. The report says that on May 2, the supermodel filed a trademark for “Kendall” and “Kendall Jenner,” both of which are for products across the beauty spectrum. They include bath and shower gels, skin cleansers, beauty masks, deodorant, nail polish, perfume, and more.
Hear that? That’s the sound of Kendall Jenner Beauty on its way.
Kendall Jenner has experience in the beauty world
While this would be Jenner’s first solo business venture in the beauty industry, she does have some experience. She used to serve as the face of Estée Lauder’s Estée Edit, a brand for Millennials, which is now defunct. She’s also the face of Proactiv. Oh, and did we mention she’s gearing up to collaborate with her little sis for Kylie Cosmetics?
Kylie Jenner broke the news in a YouTube video posted on June 3 titled, “Kylie Jenner: A Day in the Life.” As Jenner and Kylie are about to walk into the Kylie Cosmetics headquarters, the model says, “We are—I really don’t know exactly what we’re doing today.” In response, Kylie says, “We have a collab coming.”
There aren’t many details regarding the collaboration available as of writing, but when asked to describe its vibe, Jenner told Bustle: “Natural beauty.”
Why Kendall Jenner should start her own beauty line
It’s only right, considering Jenner knows all about skin. The supermodel has struggled with acne since her early teenage years. She told Bustle in June 2019 that the breakouts started around age 14 and only worsened from there
“Before that, I may have gotten one or two zits here and there,” she told the website. “But never bad. My entire forehead was covered in little milia. And then it just grew from there. It started to happen all over my face — milia and also gnarly zits.”
The breakouts stopped once she got on birth control, but in 2018, she stopped taking it due to health reasons, at which point the pimples came back. She told the website that she finally found a solution through Proactiv and now considers herself a “non-certified dermatologist.”
With any luck, her own line will be out in no time. Get ready.
