Will Kristin Cavallari Be in ‘The Hills’ Reboot?

Kristin Cavallari is sharing some gossip about the upcoming reboot of The Hills. In an interview with People Now, the Very Cavallari star revealed which cast member will be the villain on the new season. She also said that filming for the show, which should air sometime in 2019, has been “extremely dramatic.”

But fans of the MTV show – which originally ran from 2006 to 2010 – shouldn’t expect to see Cavallari sparring with returning cast members like Stephanie Pratt and Audrina Patridge on The Hills: New Beginnings.

Cavallari isn’t part of The Hills reboot cast

Cavallari might have the inside scoop on what’s going on with the current cast of The Hills, but she won’t be returning to the show that made her famous. The 32-year-old Cavallari, who is now married to ex-NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, is too busy starring in her own reality TV show on E!, which premiered in 2018.

Cavallari’s built a life for herself far away from her Laguna Beach roots. The mom of three currently lives in Nashville, where she runs her jewelry line, Uncommon James. She’s also the author of Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making It All Work and the cookbook True Roots.

But Brody Jenner hints she might make an appearance

While Cavallari isn’t part of the new cast of The Hills – which also includes veterans Heidi Pratt, Spencer Pratt, and Whitney Port – there’s a chance she might show up on the new show, at least according to returning cast member Brody Jenner. When US Weekly asked whether Cavallari or Lauren Conrad was more likely to make a surprise appearance, Jenner voted for Cavallari.

“Maybe Kristin? Kristin’s a little more open to it I believe than LC so maybe Kristin,” he said.

Who will be the show’s new villain?

During her People Now interview, Cavallari offered some insight on who she thinks will take over the villain role on the new The Hills.

“Stephanie Pratt. Word on the street is Stephanie Pratt is sort of filling into the villain role,” she said.

Cavallari, who still keeps in touch with Patridge, revealed that revisiting old drama has been hard for some members of The Hills cast.

“It’s been hard on her,” Cavallari said of her friend’s experience on the show. “It’s extremely dramatic and so, you know, she’s hanging in there. But yeah, it hasn’t been easy, she said.”

On her podcast Pratt Cast, Stephanie Pratt also said dredging up the past was difficult. “I had to relive some parts and I was just balling crying. Like it was so hard. I really miss my brother,” she said. “It’s a hard road. It doesn’t really happen until the end of the series but yeah, it was really sucky.”

Patridge at least has at least one other person on her side. Cavallari said she’s bonded with new cast member Mischa Barton.

“I think her and Audrina have sort of formed an alliance, which is always good to have someone in your corner,” Cavallari said. “That’s what it sounds like.”
