Will Monique Samuels Lose Her ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Spot?

Even though Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard got into a “serious fight,” which resulted in police intervention, the mother of three seems unbothered.

She has since gone on tour for her podcast and supported her husband, Chris, when he got inducted into the Washington Redskins’ Ring of Honor. However, after Dillard pressed second-degree assault charges on her, Samuels could end up spending her Christmas in jail.

Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard ‘RHOP’ beef

Despite becoming very close friends during Real Housewives of Potomac Season 3, their friendship took a turn for the worse in the next season. Candiace Dillard got upset with Monique Samuels for getting friendly with her “enemy,” Ashley Darby.

However, the mother-of-three claimed she doesn’t pick sides and bonded with Darby over her pregnancy. The two got into a verbal fight during Katie Rost’s hoedown when Samuels threatened to “drag” Dillard, “pregnant and all.”

The former friends again got into an argument during the end of the season when Dillard got upset with Samuels for showing Darby their text messages.

However, the women hugged it out during the Real Housewives of Potomac Reunion and shared their desire to move on in their relationship, but it was short-lived.

Monique Samuels allegedly attacked Candiace Dillard on ‘RHOP’ Season 5

On October 16, as the ladies are filming Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5, Samuels and Dillard reportedly got into a physical altercation. According to sources, the mother of three grabbed the pageant beauty’s hair and yanked her to the ground while they ate dinner.

While it’s unclear if actual punches were thrown, insides claim Samuels “blacked out” and described it as a “serious fight.” Additionally, the police were allegedly called, although no one was arrested.

After the fight, sources claim other RHOP ladies, including Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon, refused to film with Samuels, while Karen Huger, Darby, and newcomer Wendy Osefo did not pick sides.

Candiace Dillard allegedly pressed charges against Monique Samuels

On November 7, Dillard filed a complaint directly with the court, and Samuels has been charged with second-degree assault from the District Court of Montgomery County in Maryland.

Her court date is set for December 23, and if the judge finds “probable cause,” then Samuels could be arrested on the spot, and possibly spend Christmas in jail.

In a statement to People, Dillard’s attorney responded, “At this time, we do not want to say too much and just allow the criminal process to play out. We only ask everyone to pray for our client, Candiace, and her family. The physical assault, humiliation, and emotional distress have all been very painful and difficult for Candiace, as it would be for anyone attacked so viciously. We also pray that Monique will get some help. The summons to the court charge of Second Degree Assault is just one step below first-degree assault and must be taken very seriously. This behavior has no place in our society.”

Will Monique Samuels get fired from ‘Real Housewives of Potomac?’

While Bravo has not officially pulled the plug on Samuels, a few of her co-stars are refusing to film with her, forcing their hand. Additionally, if the charges stick, then Bravo may have to fire Samuels from the franchise if Dillard is awarded a protection order.

Even if the assault charges are dropped, the two will most likely never film together again. Therefore, Bravo may have to cut ties with the mother of three and move forward with Osefo or find another Housewife. Real Housewives of Potomac will return in Spring 2020.
